Flower Beauty: Foxy Browns Quad

Disclosure Policy

For those of you who don’t know, Drew Barrymore created a makeup line that is only available at Walmart. Well certain Walmart’s…that don’t include the ones near me it seems. I’ve gone into multiple Walmart’s in my area multiple times and there is not a section for Flower Beauty, Drew’s line, anywhere to be seen. This makes me so angry because I really want to try it and, unless I’ve seen or tried it in person, I don’t like to order makeup online. I realized a couple of weeks ago that the Official Flower Beauty Twitter account does giveaways on Fridays and it became my mission to win one of these giveaways. Lo and behold the first week I entered I won an eyeshadow quad. HOORAY baby!

Flower Beauty Foxy Browns Quad

Packaging:

I received this quad in the mail a few days ago but I haven’t had time to test out the endurance of it overtime. This review is more of a first impression. I’m loving the shape of this quad it’s so gorgeous with the dimpling and the Flower logo on the clasp. I would have to say for packaging that this quad is a lot better than most drugstore eyeshadows.

As you can see on the back this product is made in the U.S.A and is not tested on animals, which I find to be great. You can also see that I got the quad called Foxy Browns. I would say that my only complaint, and it’s not really a complaint just something I don’t understand, is that they have the EQ3 at the top which I’m assuming stands for Eyeshadow Quad 3 and is an internal product number. It might have been prettier if that had been left off.

Flower Beauty Foxy Browns Swatches

Onto Swatches:

The upper left corner of the quad has a pale pink that is coming off as white in all my pictures, it’s the far left swatch in the pictures. The next swatch is the upper right corner, the next swatch is the bottom left corner, leaving the last swatch to be the bottom right corner. These eyeshadows were all very buttery, they felt more like Urban Decay shadows than a typical drugstore shadows. Three of the colors were glittery satin type finishes with the bottom left corner shade being more of a matte brown.

Thoughts:

I can’t wait to create a look with these and see how long they wear for. I think that they’ll make a nice glittery smokey eye look and I can’t wait to test that out. I’ll be doing this within the next few days so expect an in-depth review in the near future.

Have you tried any of the Flower Beauty products?

I love Drew Barrymore! I had no idea she had a makeup line, can’t wait to check it out! High end quality at drug-store prices is a huge plus 🙂

I’ve heard great things about the entire line and it makes me sad that I can’t get it around here. I’m thinking a road trip to Savannah, GA might be in the works…or Charleston lol.

I’ve never tried this line but it looks great! I’m going to Wal-mart today, might have to check and see if they have them! (Of course like you, the stores in my small town never seem to carry the products I want)

Hopefully your store has them, let me know how that goes for you. I might have to talk to a manager or something about the people doing the ordering for my local Wal-Mart because we never get the current items or colors in nail polish lines. Maybe if I say something they’ll look into it?
