Today’s post is going to be a little more formal and less fun. For those of you who may not know it yet, the FTC implemented some new guidelines when it comes to how bloggers talk about companies and products. Essentially the new guidelines say that we can’t just put a line at the end or our posts saying “Hey I was given this product but the opinions are my own yo.” Instead, we need to tell you in at the beginning of the post in an obvious manner, again when we talk about the company and/or products, and then again at the end.
Personally, I think doing all that is saying “Hey you’re not smart enough to have read the first warning so here’s two more, get the picture?!” but they made the changes so I guess that means that they’ve had complaints from somewhere. You know like putting “Tilt and pour slowly” on top of a milk jug (in case you’ve been under a rock for the past decade and didn’t know how to work a milk jug) or putting “Don’t use in shower” on a hair dryer (there are just no words people.)
Anywhoozle the point is that from now on you’re going to find clickable buttons like this:
on most posts where I talk about products or companies. Even the ones I’m not paid to talk about.
If you don’t want to click on that button but would like to read our brand-spankin new disclosure policy then by all means please head over to this page:

to do so.

Yikes! I wasn’t aware of the change in the guidelines. Thanks so much for posting this!!!
