The ColourPop 5 Star Island Palette is the second of four ColourPop x Animal Crossing palettes. Honestly, I am hoping that get to third of four before ColourPop delists them, which is a problem that ColourPop has with some of its palettes. I will let you know that I did only get three of the four so this is the next to last of the ColourPop x Animal Crossing palettes I will be reviewing. If you want to see what I thought of this particular palette, just keep scrolling.

ColourPop 5 Star Island Palette Review
The four shades in the 5 Star Island Palette are Isabelle, Island Tune, Island Designer, and Resident Rep. The four formulas in the 5 Star Island Palette are a matte with sparkle, a matte, a multidimensional glitter, and a metallic. Honestly, looking at the shadows laid out in the palette I am not exactly sure if I am a fan of this color story.
- Isabelle is a yellow/gold with a metallic formula. This shadow was just “meh” for me.
- Island Tune is a coral/pink with a matte formula. This shadow was a good crease shade for me.
- Island Designer is a pink with a multidimensional formula. This shadow made a perfect lid shade.
- Resident Rep is a deep rose with a matte formula with glitter throughout. This was more like ColourPop’s usual matte formula with glitter and the glitter just faded when blending. That being said, this made a great shade for deepening the outer portion of the eye.
Final Thoughts on the 5 Star Island Palette
Honestly, after using the What a Hoot Palette, read my review here, I found the 5 Star Island Palette to be very lackluster. With one shadow being a blah shadow and one not working the way it was supposed to, it makes half the palette bad. I cannot in good conscience recommend that to ColourPop or Animal Crossing fans, even if you are a collector. The $12 price point is just too much. However, if Ulta ever stocks this and you are able to use a coupon or points, then I could see picking the 5 Star Island Palette up.
