I don’t know if you realize this but I am HUGE Dior fan. I currently have one of their blushes, a foundation, a lipstick, and their J’Adore perfume is my signature scent. When I saw the Dior Diorshow Mascara in a Sephora Favorites set, I knew I HAD to get the set to try this out. Is it enough to dethrone my current favorite of the YSL Faux Cils, read my review here, or was it a waste of time and money? Check out the video below or just keep scrolling to find out!

The full-size Dior Diorshow Mascara has 0.33 oz. or 10 mL of product, has a natural bristle mascara wand instead of plastic or silicone, comes in three shades, and retails for $21.00. The Dior Diorshow Mascara can be purchased at Sephora, Saks 5th Avenue, and Nordstrom.

Dior claims that the Dior Diorshow Mascara has a conditioning formula that is buildable and microfiber enhanced. The packaging for the Dior Diorshow Mascara has a XXL brush that is pro inspired and the tube has an air-lock wiping system to keep the mascara fresh with each use.

The first thing that I want to mention is that this is a review of the mini Dior Diorshow Mascara NOT the full-size. I know with Dior being a Luxury brand some might think that $29.50 is the price for a mini size, but it is not. The reason I want to mention this is because the length of the wand and how the bristles work because of that. Dior claims that their brush is a XXL brush and even on the mini it is and it is FREAKING AMAZING. However, because of the shortness of the wand on the mini it can be difficult to apply the mascara to all the lashes without bumping yourself with your hand or the brush.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way let’s talk about the formula. The formula gave great volume and on top of that because it was a conditioning it left my lashes looking and feeling amazing. To go along with that the formula did not transfer to beneath my eyes like SOME mascara’s I’ve tried, I’m looking at you Too Faced BTS… What I loved most about it though was that it lasted all day and it did NOT break down and burn my eyes. Lastly, it was easy to remove at the end of the night, which I appreciate it. I was able to remove the Dior Diorshow Mascara with the Makeup Eraser and then I followed it up with an oil cleanser afterwards just in case because I saw that article about the woman who had critters in her lashes from not removing her eye makeup.

Back to the original question, was the Dior Diorshow Mascara a waste a time or did it dethrone my favorite mascara? To be honest, neither of these is exactly correct. I will say that by far it was not a waste of time. The formula was amazing as was the wand, even with it being so short. BUT it didn’t quite dethrone the YSL Faux Cils Mascara. That being said, the Dior Diorshow Mascara is now second favorite mascara and I do HIGHLY recommend you picking it up to try for yourself.
