I believe that I’ve mentioned on the blog, if not I know that I’ve mentioned in a YouTube video recently, that the Hubs and I recently adopted a new cat. The story behind Ghost is that she had been hanging out around the house when we noticed her. We tried to pick her up to take her to a shelter or at least bring her in from the cold but she wouldn’t come to us. Not knowing if she had access to food or water we put some outside for her each day and night. It wasn’t long before she was waiting for us at the door for food and it wasn’t much longer after that she would be waiting for us to come home from school. We were finally able to get her to come inside at the beginning of January and she’s been a happy member of the family ever since. The food that we fed her at the time was Purina® Friskies so when we found out that you could get Purina at Tractor Supply Co.® we were excited!
Purina at Tractor Supply: Purina
As I mentioned we were already feeding Ghost Purina Friskies when she was staying outside. However, that was intentional in case we were able to bring her in. We went with Purina because they have the affordable Friskies as an option, this was important in case we had to give her to another home so they wouldn’t see her as a burden, but they also have the fancier Fancy Feast as option as well. Plus, I’ve always wanted to have a cat that was a “Friskies Kitty.”

We were super excited when we found out that Purina was at Tractor Supply because we actually shop there quite a bit. The birds LOVE sunflower seeds in their food but we don’t like to give them commercial sunflower seeds due to the salt. Instead, we buy them regular sunflower seeds from the bird section of Tractor Supply. We also, will pick up Lila’s favorite puppy treats there as well. So the fact that we could stop in and pick up some stuff for Ghost is a bonus!

Speaking of stopping in…I knew that some Tractor Supply locations did vet clinics on the weekend, however, I did not know that aside from these that you could bring your pet into the store with you, as long as their leashed! This was actually Ghost’s first bye-bye trip and she was actually very well behaved for the trip. Due to this being her first trip you know we had to stop and take a photo outside of the store!
…and we had to take some photos inside the store as well due to her utter cuteness. Seriously, swear on anything you want me to, this photo was not staged AT ALL. The Hubs was holding her for a photograph and she just leaned forward, sniffed the bag, and put her little paw on it. I melted!
Purina at Tractor Supply: Fancy Feast
Tractor Supply is actually expanding the Purina products that they will be carrying, which is super exciting. Right now they’re including several different Purina ONE, Purina Pro Plan, Purina Cat Chow, Fancy Feast, and Kit N Kaboodle varieties. We’re pumped for this because the Fancy Feast variety pack that is pictured at the top of the post is one that our location now stocks. Before they only had the meat variety but now they have this seafood variety which includes three different types of seafood flavors, which are Ghost’s favorite.
As you can see it didn’t take much prodding for her to jump into that Fancy Feast Ocean Whitefish & Tuna flavor. Don’t fear though, I let her eat out of the can only long enough to get this photo and then the rest was put in her wet food dish and she was able to enjoy it at her leisure.
Purina at Tractor Supply: Extras
Of course we had to pick up some of her favorite Purina Friskies flavors while we were there as well. These three are hands down her favorite flavors and the pate is her favorite texture. She’ll eat others likes shreds and chunks but she goes to town on the pate, which is great for the Fancy Feast as well. We also picked up two Tractor Supply Reusable Bags because they were to cute not to and a BIG thing of Purina Tidy Cat Litter but those aren’t easy to photograph in a cute way so they got left out of the photographs, however, I did want to mention that you can purchase items like reusable bags and cat litter while you’re there.

She really is. We usually try to take our animals to the pet store at least once after we get them. Each of them has been at least one time.
We shop at Tractor Supply all the time. We purchase our rabbit, sheep and cat food there! Ghost is a beautiful cat!

I have never shopped at Tractor Supply. I never even knew they sold pet food. I will have to check them out. I might find some better deals than what I normally do.
When I first saw a Tractor Supply I didn’t either. It wasn’t until we went in looking for sunflower seeds a few years ago that we found out.
I remember the first time I heard of Tractor Supply, I expected it to be just farm equipment. I was pretty surprised when I went in and found all sorts of pet supplies.

Our cats always preferred the pate style as well. It must be easier to chew or something.

I am proudly owned by cats. LOL. I have to check the Tractor Supply Co. for my cats’ food. I never noticed they sold it there. Anyway, I think your cat Ghost is cute. I have a cat that looks exactly like yours. His name is Snowy. We found him shivering in the snow some three winters ago.

Good to know that there are purina products available in this store. I’m not sure if we have one around my area but the more stores that have our pet’s food, the easier for us to feed them well.
