I was provided the chance to review Mixcups Mix of the Month subscription box. Mixcups offers three levels of subscription; the Mini Mix which is 10 single-cup coffee or teas for $10.95/month, the Mix of the Month which is 30 single-cup coffee or teas for $28.95/month, and the Mega Mix which is 60 single-cup coffee or teas for $49.95/month. The Hubs really likes coffee so trying out this subscription was a no brainer for us.

The first set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was Barnie’s Coffee Kitchen and we received the Barnie’s Blend which is a medium roast.
The second set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was Brooklyn Bean and we received Vanilla Skyline which is a flavored coffee.
The third set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was Brown Gold and we received 100% Brazilian which is an extra bold dark roast.
The fourth set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was Cake Boss and we received Chocolate Cannoli which is another flavored coffee.
The fifth set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was another Cake Boss and for this one we received Chocolate Fudge Cake which is, again, a flavored coffee.
The sixth set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was Donut Shop and we received Decaffeinated in a dark roast. The Hubs was glad to have at least one Decaf in the box!
The seventh set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was another Donut Shop with this one being Original which is a medium roast.
The eight set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was by far the Hubs favorite, Tim Hortons and we received Original which is a medium roast. On the site we saw that they also offered a Tim Hortons Decaffeinated and the Hubs wishes that they had doubled up on this brand and included that instead of the second Cake Boss.
The ninth set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was Martinson and we received Joe’s Winterfest which is a flavored coffee.
The last set of single-cups that we received in the Mixcups box was Java Factory and we received Choconut which is a flavored coffee.
Overall this was a great mix of both regular and flavored coffees. The Hubs has started to get more into Decaf so he wishes that there had been more of those in the box, however, upon going to the site we did find that when you setup your subscription you can choose your style of coffee and you can choose a Decaf only box. Also, you’ll notice that each type of coffee came with 3 single-cups, the Hubs both liked and disliked this option. It gave him more of the ones he liked, i.e. the Tullys and Decaf, but it also left him with several of the ones he didn’t quite care for, i.e. some of the flavored coffees. All that being said, we would totally get this box again and recommend it to anyone looking to try new single-serve cups.
First – LOVE that mug! Second – holy cow, cake boss coffee!!!
