When I was presented with the opportunity to review the Foreo Issa Toothbrush I jumped at the chance to review an electric toothbrush. I’ve used regular toothbrushes for most of my life but I’ve always heard how great electric brushes were. I was super surprised by the claims of the Foreo Issa Toothbrush but decided to give it a try anyway.

To start out with the Foreo Issa Toothbrush comes with a preassembled base and head, a charger, and a carrying pouch. The Foreo Issa Toothbrush comes with a bit of a charge on it and once you get it you can hook the usb charger into any usb dongle. After that you will only need to charge the Foreo Issa Toothbrush every six months!

To work the Foreo Issa Toothbrush you just have to follow a few simple steps:

1. Power on the Foreo Issa Toothbrush by pushing the center button on the front
2. Lower/Raise the intensity by pressing the +/- button on the front (there are eight levels)
3. Start brushing the first quadrant of your mouth (i.e. lower left)
4. Continue brushing until the pulsing pauses then switch to next quadrant
5. Continue until the pulses pause 3 times (2 minutes)
6. Power off the Foreo Issa Toothbrush and rinse it

It is actually that easy.

The head itself is made up of silicone bristles, which makes for a more hygienic and gentler experience. The head has a bit of flexibility to it, making it easier to reach those far back areas. Lastly, the pulsation technology partnered with the soft silicone head are designed to give a thorough clean and nice massage at the same time.

Here are a few other things to note about the Foreo Issa Toothbrush, first, it can be used with regular non-bleach toothpaste. Second, the brush head only needs to be replaced once per year. Third, cleaning the Foreo Issa Toothbrush is as easy as running it under hot water and working your fingers across the bristles. Fourth, it is NOT meant to be put in a UV sanitation case. Last, the Foreo Issa Toothbrush can be a bit of a big brush, however, if you usually prefer a smaller brush (or are looking for a brush for your children) there is also the Foreo Issa Mini. The Foreo Issa Mini is the same as the Foreo Issa Toothbrush except it’s smaller and has Smile Helper Technology, which means there are lights that signal when brushing is over.
