We were doing so good with our Birchbox‘s coming early, however, the June Birchbox broke that streak. I received my June Birchbox fairly late in the month and I had so much going on at the time that I just didn’t get around to posting about it. Let’s change that now shall we? I will let you know that I’ve, obviously, already done the Editor’s Box/Sample Choice (don’t know what I’m referring to? click ) for July and I’ve peaked at my July box but you’ll get my opinions on all that, hopefully, in a few short weeks.
Make sure to check out the Birchbox video above. If you can’t see the above video click here
Coola SPF 50 Sport
When I first saw the Coola SPF 50 Sport in Fresh Mango in my June Birchbox I was for sure that I was going to put it in the trade bin. However, while I was filming I decided to go ahead and open it to see how strong the mango scent was. After giving it a sniff I decided to keep it to test out for a new series I’m wanting to do.
Purchase
Temple Spa Good Hair Day Shampoo
The second item in my June Birchbox was a bottled version of Temple Spa Good Hair Day Shampoo. This had a very manly scent to it, for sure not my favorite. That being said, I did like the fact that it came in a plastic bottle instead of a foil packet.
Purchase
Temple Spa Good Hair Day Conditioner
The third item in my June Birchbox was the partner to the shampoo, Temple Spa Good Hair Day Conditioner. Again, I was glad that this came in a bottle instead of a foil packet so there were more uses for it. However, unlike the shampoo, the conditioner had a very nice minty scent.
Purchase
Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner
The fourth item in my June Birchbox was a Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner in Blue Lagoon. When I opened my box and saw this I originally thought that I was just going to windup sending it to my sister as bright eyeliners just aren’t my thing. Since filming the video though this has been calling my name and I think I’ll be keeping it to review.
Purchase
Skyn Iceland Eye Gels
The fifth item in my June Birchbox was a pair of Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels. I’ve seen these around YouTube and have been wanting to try them so when they were the Sample Choice for June I I snapped them up. Now the price below says $30 but don’t balk that isn’t for one pair that is for a pack of 8 pairs. Pro Tip: These work really well if you put them in the fridge first.
Purchase
L. Erickson Ponytail Holder
The last item in my June Birchbox was a L. Erickson Ponytail Holder, I kid you not. Luckily this was the bonus item but still I’m kind of meh about it, mainly because I detest this style of hair tie.

Temple Spa Good Hair Day Shampoo | 0.84 oz | 6.8 oz | $14.00 | $1.73 |
Temple Spa Good Hair Day Conditioner | 0.84 oz | 6.8 oz | $14.00 | $1.73 |
Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner | 0.83 ml | 4.8 ml | $18.00 | $3.11 |
Skyn Iceland Eye Gels | 1 pair | 8 pairs | $30.00 | $3.75 |
L. Erickson Ponytail Holder | 1 Tie | 6 Ties | $12.00 | $2.00 |
TOTAL | $15.52 |
That was my June Birchbox unboxing. If you were around for the May unboxing then you know that the $15.52 total for this month’s box is a few dollars short from last month’s box total. The difference between May and June, however, is that May’s box had a better personal value than this one did. If Birchbox continues along these lines I will not be resubscribing when my year is up.
