I love using cleansing oils to help remove my makeup. I find the fact that I’m using an oil to clean my face without it being an oil absolutely fascinating. I had been using Julep’s Bare Face Oil, and I love it, but I wanted to try out other oils and see if they were as good as what I had been using. Therefore when an opportunity to test out InstaNatural Deep Cleansing Facial Oil for a review came up, I took it!
One of the first things I look at when I receive a product is what is in it. Some things can be a bit to harsh for my skin so I always make sure that there’s nothing to bad in a product. With ingredients like Organic Jojoba Oil, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, and Olive Oil as the first few ingredients I figured I was pretty safe. I tested a portion on the back of my hand before applying to my face and didn’t have any adverse reactions so I decided to just get to it. The ingredients actually left my face feeling fairly soft and after rinsing it wasn’t greasy at all!
One thing that I did notice about the InstaNatural Deep Cleansing Facial Oil was the directions. With the Julep Bare Face Cleansing Oil I just squirt some into my hand, rub my hands together, and then rub it on my face really well before rinsing off. However, with the InstaNatural Deep Cleansing Facial Oil this was not the case. You actually apply this to a cloth and use the cloth to rub the product into the face before using water to rinse it away. I would also like to mention that this oil is NOT tested on animals and is made in the USA.
Another thing that I would like to discuss about the InstaNatural Deep Cleansing Facial Oil is the nozzle. This nozzle is similar to that of the Julep product but it does take a couple of pumps before it gets going as it starts out a bit stiff. However, once you work out that stiffness it works like a dream. Just make sure that when you do your first few pumps to get it working that you do it over a sink or paper towel as that first pump will be a bit loose but after that the product stays put pretty well for an oil.
Speaking of the product I bet you’re probably wondering what it looks like. This is actually two pumps of product so as you can see a little bit will go a long way with this. Especially since it doesn’t take much at all to work over your face. It also smells really good! I tend to get the citrus from the Pink Grapefruit Oil when I’m using it but after rinsing there’s a faint hint of the lavender left behind. However, neither of these are strong at all!
Overall this was a great oil that held up really well against my expectations from using another oil cleanser. As this one is more easily available, Amazon vs ordering through Julep, I’ll probably be repurchasing this one when I run out!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
