About Glossybox
Glossybox comes with five “luxury beauty products” in a pretty box that can be reused, they will occasionally ship in specially designed boxes like the June box and the upcoming September box. The box costs $21/month for a month-by-month subscription but can be dropped down to as little as $18/month for a multiple month subscription paid upfront. All subscription levels come with free shipping.
This month’s Glossybox, while coming in the regular pink box, was a special box as it was their 3 year anniversary box. As such there was one item that was in the box made specifically for this box by the company. What was it? Let’s get into that one and the other four items in the August Glossybox.
The item that was made specifically for the August Glossybox was done by Kryolan and is a highlighter in the shade Cashmere. The card that comes with the Glossybox says:
In celebraton of our third birthday, use this special-edition, multipurpose highlighter on cheekbones, eyes, lips or wherever the light catches you, for a lit-from-within glow.
The next item in the box was a nail lacquer from Lamoon Beauty. The shade that I received was “Can You Keep a Secret” which is a pinky shade. Really the name and the color both remind of the opening sequence of Pretty Little Liars The card that comes with the Glossybox says:
Inspired by the anatomy of the nail, Lamoon Beauty is an eco-friendly line of nail treatments and polishes available in an extensive range of hues. Boasting high shine and durable wear, this long-lasting lqcquer is additionally 4-free and cruelty free.
The third item that was in my Glossybox was an Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner. I actually received an Eyeko mascara in a Birchbox a few months back so I’m excited to give this a try. It does dry a fairly nice line and doesn’t tug on the skin as you go across, from swatching on the back of my hand, can’t wait to wear this out sometime and give it a try. The card that comes with the Glossybox says:
The British cosmetics brands, fronted by self-proclaimed eyeliner addict Alexa Chung, is all about the eye. Described as one of Chung’s favorite products for a Sixties look, this pigmented liquid pen features a long-lasting formula, and a precision tip for defined lines, bold wings and everything in between.
The fourth item that I got is actually itemS. I received the Uberliss Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner duo in my Glossybox this month. The scent of these are amazing and I can’t wait to try them and review them for you! The card that comes with the Glossybox says:
Promising shine and a dose of hydration thanks to ingredients like royal jelly, blueberry, apple, sugarcane, green tea, lemon peel, and keratin, the Uberliss Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner are sulfate-free and leave hair fibers soft and easy to comb.
The last item that I received in my box was the Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream. I’m not usually a big fan of day/night creams, mainly because I never remember to put them on but it is firming and has collagen so I might give it a go just to test and see how it does. I’ll let you know in the future what I decided to do. The card that comes with the Glossybox says:
Containing natural skin-firming ingredients like ginseng extract, hydrolyzed marine collagen, avocado, wheat germ and sesame oils, this anti-aging cream should be massaged twice a day onto cleansed skin to improve elasticity and prevent the early appearance of wrinkles.

My August Glossybox cost me $21 and I received $50.20 worth of products. My favorite item from this month’s box would be the shampoo and the conditioner because I’m interested in seeing how the scents work. My least favorite item from this month’s box would probably be the Eslor Day Cream just because I don’t use creams with specific time of the day applications, however, I’m probably still going to give it a try to see how it works. The August Glossybox was a good mix of makeup and skin care in my opinion.
