Due to the fact that Catching Fire comes out TOMORROW! (I’m so stinking excited btw) I thought we’d take a one day break from the Holiday Gift Guides and I’d bring you a makeup tutorial. This is the Katniss Catching Fire Makeup Tutorial, and is a look I did inspired by one of the looks Katniss wears in the movie. Here’s the specific Katniss look that I’ll be recreating. Also, it should be noted that this is a one brand tutorial which means all of the products, except the false eyelashes, are from one brand. This one brand tutorial is…CoverGirl.
The Tutorial:
1 | CoverGirl 3-in-1 Outlast Foundation in 805 Ivory
2 | CoverGirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Red-Hot
3 | CoverGirl Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Red-Hot
4 | CoverGirl Ink It Eyeliner in Black Ink
5 | CoverGirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Crystal Flame
6 | CoverGirl Flamed Out Mascara in Black Blaze
7 | Ardell Edgy Eyelashes in 401
8 | CoverGirl Instant Cheekbones Blush in Refined Rose
9 | CoverGirl Blast Flipstick in Perky
Great look! I’m going to have to check out some of these Cover Girl products!
Your eyes look fantastic! Now I want to try this to wear when we go see the movie!
I’m a huge Hunger Games fan and I’m loving this line. What a fun way to engage with the books and the movies!
I won’t be seeing Catching Fire – I don’t watch movies cecause I’m totally blind and English is not my native language. The reason I bring this up is I am not able to comment much on your video for the same reasons. Judging from my concept of color form when I could see, it seems like a great combo.
I do like it when make up helps bring out the beauty of a person’s eyes. I’ll have to try this the next time my husband and i go out on a date.
I am not going to see the movie, but I read the three books and found them very exciting. Your makeover seemed like a lot of fun.
What a fun idea! Love these colors together, thanks so much for sharing the products and the how to. I am dying to see this movie, hopefully on Tuesday 😉
Ooh I love the look! I’m gonna try it out!
Great tutorial! We just saw the movie tonight and I couldn’t get over how gorgeous her makeup was!
Very cool tutorial! I’m always jealous of those that can wear awesome eye makeup; my eyes are so sensitive that I’ve never been able to get away with more than mascara.
I just took my nieces to see the movie last night. They would love to do this!
Great job. The movie was awesome
My daughter will flip when she sees this Catching Fire make up tutorial. She wwnt with her aunt to see the movie yesterday and said it was amazing. I am sure Becca will try out this look.
What a neat tutorial! Great for movie fans that wear make up. I am torn about seeing the movie — I have seen the first one, but wanted to catch up with reading the books before I saw anymore. Now that it’s out, I really want to go though!
You can totally see the movie without having read the books. They did leave out a few things from the books, however, they did a great job of not only including most of the stuff but it was just as I pictured it!
Whoa, you did such a nice job on that! I definitely want to see the movie. I loved the books and the first one.
Wow! That’s definitely some Catching Fire Makeup…I haven’t seen it yet, but I can imagine.
LOVE the eye color! Thanks for sharing this!
oh, very creative- and a really fun look for holiday time!
What bold colors – it certainly matches!
I’m an absolute NUT when it comes to eye-shadows I just can’t get enough of them! I am going to try this color for sure. Thanks for the tutorial – thats a great way to help those who are new to the whole make-up thing … me, well, I’m a bit of a pro (been applying the stuff since I was very young curtsey of my mom sshhh lol).
Fun look Cass! I LOVE The Hunger Games and am eagerly awaiting the time for when I get to go see the movie!!
Love the lip color!!
That looks great. My niece would love to do her makeup like that.
This is really cute and creative!
I Love, love, LOVE the eyes!
