DIY Travel Makeup Roll

DIY Travel Makeup Roll by Life After Laundry

The first accessory I have for you is a DIY Travel Makeup Roll that was done by a friend of mine, and fellow blogger, Brenna who blogs over at Life After Laundry. She customized her roll to fit her Real Techniques Brushes that she recently purchased which makes me double proud of her! If you don’t make this for yourself you should still head over to her blog and tell her what a great job she did! I plan on bribing her to get her to make me one, I might try to talk her into making them and selling them on Etsy.

Sigma Brush Cleaning Glove

The next item is a Sigma brush cleaning glove. I’ve seen several people do a brush cleaning tutorial on this and I fell in love with it. If it wasn’t $35 it would already be in my house and by my sink, just saying.

Sigma Brush Cup

The next item is the Sigma brush cup which you can either have open and use the two halves as separate brush holders or put all your brushes in one half and cap it after each half. I love this because not only will it work for having a nice display for makeup brushes but you can also use it to keep dust off or to travel. I will say though that by itself this cup costs $22 but for $65 you can get the cup with 7 makeup brushes and depending on which set you get you can get a different colored cup. The cup, when purchased alone, only comes in black.

Brush Cleanser

Johnson's Head to Toe Baby Wash as Makeup Brush Cleanser Alternative

Makeup brush cleanser can get expensive and for some cleansers it’s just not worth it as it seems to be just water that doesn’t really clean your brushes. I have found that the best alternative for that makeup brush cleanser is Johnson’s Head-to-Toe Baby wash. I use this myself because not only is it gentle on the brushes but if any of the shampoo is left on the brushes when I use them it won’t sting my eyes. Also this is something that I actually keep in my shower for when my hair is needing a gentler shampooing than my normal stuff so I have it on hand. If you’re a parent or have a younger sibling you might have it or something similar on hand that you can use as well.

Brush Guards

Brush Guards

While I personally don’t use these I have seen posts where others have. These are little guards that go over your brush either during drying or during storage so that they keep their natural shape. I have been tempted to try them out, just being honest.

Do you use any of these products?
