Despite what you might be thinking from The Rolling Stones song title that I referenced in the title, I am not the devil, nor a man of wealth. (That’s for sure) However, I do feel I’m a man of taste, whether good or bad. (That is for you to decide)
My lovely wife has asked me to co-write this blog with her and I have, of course, accepted. What can you expect of me? I will mostly be talking about movies, television, video games, and pop culture. I can’t wrap my head around most craft projects and I have the uncanny ability to scald water, so I will leave that stuff for Cassie.
Where are my manners? I didn’t do a proper introduction! My name is Travis. I was born in 1983 in Savannah, GA, but claim SC as home. I currently live in NC with my wife, Cassie, our Great Dane, and four birds. We currently packing to move “back home.”
To give you an idea of what to expect from my reviews/topics, I thought I would share with you some of my favorites and history. I have been watching movies since I was born and enjoy almost every genre, although horror is often hit and miss with me. My favorite movie is probably The Shawshank Redemption.
In television, I generally like shows that make you think. I am a big fan of Lost, Once Upon a Time, Dexter (although I haven’t watched all of last season), and other story heavy shows. I also like “older” shows such as Buffy, Angel, and Alias. Don’t get me wrong though, I still like sitcoms, counting M*A*S*H and How I Met Your Mother amongst my favorite shows.
I have been a gamer since the late 80’s, gaming on my old NES. Since then, I have played hundreds of games across 20 different game systems. I enjoy most genres except survival horror, which I just never got a feel for. My all time favorites include The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Bros. 3, Uncharted 2, Final Fantasy X, and many more that I could go on and on about.
In the coming weeks I hope to have some interesting topics for you guys. I am currently planning on typing up a review of Prometheus, and with it a review of the original Alien and Aliens on Blu-Ray. Until then, I hope you enjoy whatever Cassie has planned for you!
Thanks for reading!
