As the title suggests this is the May and June Ipsy Bag Reveal. I had to do them together due to the fact that my May bag got lost in the mail and Ipsy would NOT send out a replacement until the end of the month…oh and by “lost in the mail” I mean it never left Ipsy’s shipping facility and made it to the DHL facility that they use to ship the mail. They have since deleted the tracking information so I can’t show that to you but trust that it had me mad enough to just about say forget the whole dang thing. So I waited and they shipped out a new May bag via FedEx Smartpost that didn’t get to me until literally the day before I got my June bag. This folks is why I have cancelled Ipsy multiple times over the years…and I didn’t even get the cute ice cream decorated bag for May! Anyway, let’s check out what was in the May and June Ipsy Bags shall we?
About Ipsy
Ipsy cost $10/month and you get 4 – 5 beauty samples that run from mini to deluxe to full-size. Products can be from drugstore, independent, or high end brands and can also be cruelty free and non-cruelty free. To cancel your Ipsy subscription you need to do so by 3pm EST on the last day of the month.
Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Angled Blush Brush
We’re going to start out with the items that were in the May Ipsy Bag first! The first item that was in the envelope and not the actual bag due to size was the Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Angled Blush Brush this is actually the third one of these that I have, the first I ordered from their website and the second was in a previous Ipsy bag. However, I’m not about receiving a third one as I’m a firm believer in you can’t have to many brushes. This was actually the only product switch that the replacement May bag had. I was supposed to get a foundation brush from another brand but got this instead and again I’m not mad.
Purchase Lisa Frank Brush
Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter
The next item in the May Ipsy Bag was a sample of the Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin. What I’m most glad for on this sample is that it’s larger than a recent bronzer sample that I received where I could barely fit an eye brush in the sample pan let alone a bronzer brush. I actually think I’ll be able to get a Real Techniques Setting Brush in this pan to be able to try the highlighter.
Purchase Urban Decay Highlighter
City Color Bold Brow
The next item in the May Ipsy Bag was the City Color Bold Brow in Medium. I’m a little mixed on my feelings on this one as I love me some brow products, however, I’m also very picky about my brow products. I’m not saying that this won’t be great I would just hate to open it, the color not match, and then it be wasted. So I think I’ll be adding this to the giveaway box.
Purchase Color City Brows
Bare Republic Dry Shampoo
The next item in the May Ipsy Bag was the Bare Republic Dry Shampoo. I’m actually fascinated by this dry shampoo because it claims to not only protect the hair from UV but it also cleanses and revitalizes. I think I’m going to try this a few times and do a full review of it down the line!
Purchase Bare Republic Dry Shampoo
Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen
The last item in the May Ipsy Bag was the Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Noir. I was super excited to receive this as I haven’t gotten any eyeliners from Pixi Beauty yet and I love me a good black eyeliner for tightlining. I can’t wait to give this a good use and review it later on the blog!
Purchase Pixi Eye Pen

NYX Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle
The first item for the June Ipsy Bag Reveal is the NYX Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle in Pink Cloud. I’m very intrigued by this and plan to try it as a lip product but I’m going to be honest and say that I probably won’t try it as a cheek product!
Purchase NYX Whipped Souffle
Skone Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner
The next item in the June Ipsy Bag is the Skone Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner in Jet Black. While I love a good eyeliner, and from their site this one looks to be a good one, I’m currently bogged down with eyeliners. So this one will be joining the giveaway pile and will hopefully find a good home!
Purchase Skone Eyeliner
City Color Shimmer Shadow
The next item in the June Ipsy Bag is the City Color Shimmer Shadow in Cheers to Life. Can we just take a second and talk about how big this shadow is? Goodness. I will for sure be keeping this and giving it a review. I plan on comparing it to a Morphe shadow of a similar shade and any other shadows that are similar that I have in my collection!
Purchase City Color Shadow
TheBalm Balm Springs Blush
The next item in the June Ipsy Bag is the TheBalm Balm Springs Blush. Seriously?! Here we go again with another pan that will NOT fit the brush that goes with it. Actually now that I think about it, the one that I mentioned above, the micro bronzer, was actually a TheBalm product as well. This really does not make me want to try their products…although the color does look really pretty.
Purchase TheBalm Blush
Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
The last item in for the June Ipsy Bag Reveal is the Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator. I actually like the fact that this came sealed in a plastic wrap to keep it from leaking over the other products. PLUS I can throw it in the giveaway pile and whoever gets it will know for sure that it has not been used. This will be going into the giveaway pile for the same reason that the eyeliner will, I have quite a few exfoliating products that I’m currently using that this would just go to waste before I could use it.
Purchase Vasanti Exfoliator

As you can see from the value charts both the May and June Ipsy bags had about a $30 value, pretty good for a $10 bag. If I had to choose which bag was my favorite I’d have to say that the June Ipsy bag itself was my favorite but the May Ipsy bag had the better set of products! I’m hoping that July’s Ipsy bag will get here fairly quickly so that I can show you what I got in that.
robin rue
It sounds like this is a good value for the money! You got lots of nice things in both May and June,
Angela Tolsma
oh that totally sucks that ipsy isn’t reliable at all for you. Looks like you got some awesome stuff though!
Joanna @ Everyday Made Fresh
I used to get Ipsy all the time, but then found that I was giving away more products than using myself. I loved the little zipper bags it came in every month. 🙂 That Lisa Frank brush is awesome!!
andrea

Terri Steffes
Your bags were pretty different from mine. I think I should go back and adjust what I like. I like what you got!!
Rachel
Some great things that you have listed. I am loving the Afterglow Highlighter and the shimmer shadow.
Melissa Chapman
Those were two interesting months of surprise makeup gifts. In May I would love to try the dry shampoo which I am addicted to.In June I opt for the face rejuvenator something I would love to try and avoid the botox.
Jalisa Harris
These look like great items that came in your bag. I haven’t had an Ipsy bag in over a year but love seeing other’s bags.
Katie
There are some really great products here. I don’t wear much makeup, but some of these looked like they would be worth trying.
Journa Ramirez
It seems that every penny invested in each item will be worth it! I love each product and you have a talent in choosing great stuff
Cindy Ingalls
Loving that bag with the lips on them. Ipsy is always good for makeup bags. I still keep two in my purse that I have from when I was subscribed.
reesa
First and foremost, I am in love with the bag in the first picture! I always thought Ipsy was such a great value. There are a lot of products here I would use and buy!
michenn
I love these Ipsy bag reveals! I used to get them and I kind of miss them. It looks like the choices have improved so much!! So jealous, I want!
Charlotte
Some pretty cool stuff but the lack of customer service and the subscription mix up would put me off entirely!
Blythe Alpern
There are some really great selections in these bags. I don’t mind the small samples, but I do wish they would design some of them so you could get a brush in them. I have a few from the Balm and actually keep them in my makeup bag in my purse. They seem to work great with travel brushes.
Brandi with Big Fit Fam
All of these products and things look amazing! they are so pretty and, to be honest, totally out of my league! I would love to get some to learn!
Misty Nelson
SO much cute stuff! I love the colors, so perfect for summer and all the newest trends. I really need to check this out, I’m so into getting new fun things to doll up with and I love getting happy mail!
katriza
Definitely renewing my subscription to ipsy again! I miss it and I love all the products they get me!

That is why I keep going back because I wind up missing all the products to try out and the cute bags.
Shannon Gurnee
I used to have a subscription to ipsy and really enjoyed it! My mother-in-law has a subscription that we bought for her and she loves it!
Glenda
You listed some great products. I’m crushing on these adorable makeup bags, especially the lip ones.
Heather
What a fun bag for summer! I love that Lisa Frank brush and the nail polish. I was a huge Lisa Frank fan as a child and now as an adult, was friends with her personal assistant. So odd how things come full circle.
Cassie
That is so cool that you were were friends with her personal assistant!
Louise
The Ipsy Bag always looks SO good! I wish we could get it over here in the UK 🙂
