It’s been awhile since I’ve done a What’s In My Purse post and I thought the beginning of the year might be a good time to do an updated one. I currently have not only a brand new purse but a brand new organization system for it as well. Keep reading to see what’s in my Victoria’s Secret Tote!
The Purse
I recently got a free Victoria’s Secret Tote with a recent Victoria’s Secret order. I don’t go to the beach that often, I’m usually to busy for the drive, so I just had to find something to do with this. Since I had been dropping hints that I was wanting a new purse the Hubs had the suggestion of using it as a purse. At first I balked because hello no pockets! However, after another suggestion by the Hubs (put a use to all those makeup bags I’ve been collecting) I decided to give it a go. I can tell you that this now one of my most favorite purses!
Planners and Notebooks
As a blogger and YouTuber I have to have notebooks and a planner in my purse. The steno notebook is for YouTube ideas, the pink composition notebook is for grocery lists and personal notes and the penguin notebook is for blog post ideas. As for my planner I of course carry an Erin Condren Planner. I am in love with this planner and I don’t think my life would be as organized as it is without it. This is especially going to come in handy when I, hopefully, start school in August.
One of the things that you can always find in my Victoria’s Secret Tote is some sort of mail. Currently I have an Ulta catalog that arrived on Friday and my February Ipsy bag (review coming soon!). However, you can also sometimes find letters from my brother and even packages from Amazon!
Makeup Bags
Yes I carry four makeup bags in my Victoria’s Secret Tote but no they don’t all contain makeup (note: my actual makeup bag did not make it into this post as it was in the bathroom from having applied my makeup for the day). I actually use all four of these for organizing items that would normally go in pockets or just float around in a normal purse. As the Victoria’s Secret Tote doesn’t have a closure I use these bags to make sure nothing falls out.
Lotions etc.
The first makeup bag that I use is one that I received from Benefit Cosmetics. I put my Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizers, Bath and Body Works Lotions, and a hair brush in this bag. I do that so that if either of the liquids pops open it doesn’t destroy everything in the bag, it only messes up the inside of the makeup bag. I keep the hairbrush in the bag because I hate loose hair just about more than I hate anything else and this at least contains it somewhat.
Wallet
The second makeup bag that I use is a cheap one that I got at Target last Christmas. I use this one for a wallet because I didn’t want to use a big and bulky wallet and have to have my checkbook separate if I was to use a smaller one. Plus as this one use to have a strap it was easy to grab out and carry into a store when I didn’t want to carry the full Victoria’s Secret Tote. I will actually be switching this one out as the handle broke.
Pens
The third makeup bag that I use is from a set that I got in the People VIP Box that I got to try. I use this bag to hold my Sharpie Pens and my Dr. Grip Pilot Pen. I use these when I’m planning in my Erin Condren Planner.
Feminine Products
The last makeup bag that I use is the smallest bag from the set that I receive in the People VIP box. This bag contains a few feminine products that I carry. I always keep these on hand in case I need them.
Odds and Ends
The last few items in my Victoria’s Secret Tote are odd and end items. I keep a business card holder which holds not only my business cards but any business cards I may receive while I am out. Due to the fact that it’s winter I also keep a pack of Kleenex and a Nivea Kiss of Smoothness Lip Balm in my Victoria’s Secret Tote. I also make sure to have a pack of makeup wipes, I currently have Olay ones in there, just in case I go somewhere and have a swatch fest. Lastly, I carry my prescription sunglasses, my P.O Box keys with some of my favorite keychains and my phone always.

Do you have any recommendations for a good blogging planner? I’m on the search!

I personally LOVE my Erin Condren Planner. However, if you don’t like that one I’ve heard great things about Kate Spade, May Designs and Lilly Pulitzer. If all else fails I find that the larger planners from like Walmart and Target are good if you don’t want to keep track of a lot of things 🙂
