I’ve mentioned before that the Hubs and I are on a diet. One of the hard things about our diet is snacking. It’s so easy to go overboard with snacking, especially on the ones that aren’t healthy for you. What we do is get snacks that aren’t only delicious but that are healthy for you, especially if they’re Heart Healthy Snacks.
Gluten Free Chex Granola Mix
The Hubs loves him some Chex mix. When we saw that Chex now has a Gluten Free Granola mix he was all over that. We’re on the look out for the Berry version but because they’re new to our area it’s harder to find. He really enjoys that it has a bit of sweetness to it and it’s not salty like regular Chex mix is.
Nature Valley Nut Crisp Bars
Since I was a teenager I’ve always enjoyed Nature Valley bar, however, they can tend to be a bit tough. I’m loving the Nature Valley Nut Crisp bars which are packed with not only tons of healthy ingredients but a few sweet ones as well. The Nature Valley Salted Caramel Peanut Nut Crisp bars have a top layer containing roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds and and a bottom layer of light caramel.
The Nature Valley Nut Crisp Bars Almond Dark Chocolate Nut Crisp bars have a top layer containing almonds, roasted peanuts and sunflower seeds and a bottom layer of dark chocolate. I’m not usually a dark chocolate fan but these are actually really good!
Overall these are all great snack options that are not only delicious but are Heart Healthy as well. The Nature Valley Nut Crisp Bars Salted Caramel Peanut Nut Crisp bars are great when you want something that is a little sweeter while the Nature Valley Nut Crisp Bars Almond Dark Chocolate Nut Crisp bars are great when you want something that’s not quite as sweet. The Gluten Free Chex Granola Mix is great to have on hand and even tastes good enough to be used as a cereal.
