Synopsis
What happened in Vegas…followed her home!
Olivia Lewis is not the marrying type. So when a wild weekend in Vegas leaves her with a surprise husband, she’s happy to sign anything to erase her mistake — even if that mistake is handsome, charming and comes with an English accent. Fortunately, her groom has other plans.
Bestselling author Gerald Leighton knows he can make his new bride fall in love with him — he just needs time. In exchange for a quickie divorce, Olivia grudgingly gives him a few weeks to attempt to woo her. And whether Olivia likes it or not, Gerald plans on using every second to win her heart!
My Review
If I’m being honest, usually when I read a Harlequin Superromance I’m expecting it to be subpar with a predictable storyline. Looking at the synopsis for Married One Night book I was expecting the typical “they accidentally got married, she doesn’t want to be married to a stranger, he woos her, she falls in love with him quickly but is afraid to tell him, they tell each other, end scene.” While I will admit that some of Married One Night does follow that line not all of it is like that at all. While Olivia does come off as standoffish when it comes to Gerald she definitely isn’t frigid. You can tell that she wants to care for Gerald but something in her past is keeping her from doing so. However, Gerald has some things in his past that could keep him from fully connecting with Oliva, even though you can tell he really does care for. Also, the supporting cast, Olivia’s group of friends, are extremely well written.
All-in-all this was a really enjoyable romance novel, much more so than I would have thought. The characters were all really well written and I was rooting for Gerald all the way through. The writing in this really makes me want to go and find Amber Leigh Williams other works and read those as well!

It sounds pretty standard for harlequin but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. After all, it isn’t a popular series for nothing!
Wow. The book must be really a good read because you want to go ahead and read more of Amber Williams’ works. I haven’t read romance novels lately and this may be a good start for me.

It sounds like a good book. I too would think that it was an open shut book by the title. How fun to fall in love with someone “after” you get married.
That Interesting title will create a large number of readers. the author looks young and i wonder where she get the inspiration to write such a great story, as you said. 🙂 Hope it’ll be in our library soon.
