Obviously one of the first things that I noticed about the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale was it’s packaging. I really liked that the box had a handle on the top to carry it from the room I unpacked it in to the room where it would be housed. I was, however, a little skeptical about this outer box packaging. The cardboard of this box seemed a bit flimsy while the package itself was a bit heavy. On top of that from the front of the box you can obviously tell this is a glass scale. I just knew that with shipping an only one other outer cardboard box to protect it on it’s journey that it the glass would probably be cracked. I’m happy to report that this was not the case due to the fact that inside of this box there are two cardboard side sliders that hold the scale snug in place. However, after a bit of looking at the scale I became even more intrigued by the green and red circles on the side.
After flipping the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale over I’m in love! So not only will it tell me whether I’ve lost or gain weight since the last time I got on the scale but it will also help me track my BMI (body mass index), allow me to have different profiles, AND provide “flawless” results? If these promises are true then this scale is perfect for my weight loss and diet because more than I’m trying to “Get down to a size 8” or “Be able to run a marathon” I’m trying to get my BMI down. I would like to get my BMI down to the normal range and I’m afraid that while dieting I’ll see the results or that I’m fitting into much smaller clothes and I’ll want to cheat more or stop. I think being able to monitor my BMI as it goes down will be a great incentive to keep on this track! BUT does it work?
First off, I’m super happy that the scale was broken in anyway during shipping. Secondly, I’m even more happy that it came with a manual that actually explains everything! I made sure that I read through the entire manual before I even put the batteries into the scale, I didn’t want to mess anything up! I learned that there are two modes for the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale. The first mode is the just stand on it and get your weight. This mode doesn’t track your weight loss/gain or BMI, however, this method does make for an easier time of multiple people using the scale without having to setup profiles. However, if multiple people are using the scale, or if you yourself want to track you weight loss/gain and BMI, then you’ll have to setup profiles on the scale. This is super easy to do and the manual walks you through everything. Once you have profiles setup the next time that you step onto the scale it should auto recognize you standing on it.
The scale itself is a very nice and sturdy glass scale. It doesn’t weigh a whole lot and it doesn’t wobble when you stand on it. I find that last part to be very important because I’ve had scales that have wobbled a bit when you’re trying to get a reading and it can throw it off. I also didn’t have a problem keeping my balance while on the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale and still being able to see my weight. This is probably due to the display of the scale.
The display for the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale is a lot better than other scales I have used. It is set far enough up fro where you place your fee that even if you have some roundness to you, you should still be able to see the numbers. On top of that the display lights up to a bright whitish/blue display color with nice big numbers. I think this is super important to have on a scale because if the numbers are small or the display is hard to see then you’re going to windup skewing your results trying to find out what they are! As for the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale’s claims of “flawless” results. I found this to be spot on. I weighed myself on the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale and on another scale at the same few times each day, every day, for a week. On the other scale I would +/- a pound or two throughout the weighing of the DAY not over the course of the week. However, with the Ozeri WeightMaster Scale my weights were pretty close together each and every time, I say pretty close because I did loose a few ounces after going on a long walk one day but I gained them back that night after dinner!
