It’s the third Tuesday of the month and that means it’s time for another Literary Junkies post. I love doing this linkup with Taylor and Christine. Don’t forget to hop by Twitter and search for #literaryjunkies this evening at 8pm est as we’ll be discussing Jodi Picoult’s Lone Wolf. For now though let’s answer those questions!
What are you reading? Tell us about it
I’m actually currently reading a book to review on the blog at the beginning of September. Palmetto Moon by Kim Boykin is set in 1940’s Charleston, SC and is told from Vada’s point-of-view. The book starts on the eve before Vada’s arranged marriage is about to take place. However, faithful family servants beg her to run away before she makes the biggest mistake of her life. She does so and thus starts a great adventure in her life.
Do you read one book at a time, or multiple books at once?
It totally depends on why I’m reading them. If I’m reading a book and it’s super awesome I’ll try to just stick to that one book. However, if I’m reading it and it’s boring then I’ll add in another book that I think will be good.
What is the first book that made you fall in love with reading
The first book that made me fall in love with reading was Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends. I absolutely loved that book when I was younger and whenever I would read it I would read it all the way through from beginning to end. Where the Sidewalk Ends is actually the first book that I remember reading multiple times.
Do you prefer a physical copy of the book or an electronic version
To be honest it depends on my mood. Sometimes I love the feel of a physical copy in my hands. However, sometimes I just want to lay in bed at night without the light on and read, which is where an electronic version comes in handy!
What are three books currently on your to read list
The three current books on my to read list are A Weaver’s Web by Chris Pearce, Married One Night by Amber Leigh Williams, and Meet Me In Barcelona by Mary Carter.

I used to love Shel Silverstein too! Now I kind of want to dig his books out of my mom’s basement and take another look!

Totally worth it! I just reread Where the Sidewalk Ends and several other books I’d loved as a kid, they were just as good as they were back then 🙂
