Back in April I went to the doctor for a medical issue I was having. I was essentially told that he could help me manage the issue for the moment but that to fully deal with the issue I needed to lose some weight. This isn’t only about me losing weight it’s about a lifestyle change so I decided to bring it to the blog where I could publicly hold myself accountable.
NOTE: This meal plan was given to me by my doctor in an effort to have me quickly drop a lot of pounds. This meal plan may not be appropriate for everyone so please consult your doctor before using this.
Slim Down Sundays
First lets talk about Slim Down Sundays and what you can expect. Slim Down Sundays is going to be where I talk about all things dealing with not only my weight loss but living a healthy and beautiful life in general. You might see Weight In posts, posts about what I’m doing for my weight loss, fashion posts as I lose more weight, and even some recipe posts! Hopefully you’ll come by each week to see what I’ll be talking about for that week.
My Meal Plan
This week I’m talking about my meal plan. As I mentioned the doctor wanted me to lose a lot of weight off the top quickly so there were things that were taken out and rules I had to follow for my meals. Lets start with what I had to take out.
What was cut?
- Soda’s, Juices, Teas, etc.
- Cake, cupcake, sweets of any kind {I cried}
- Potatoes {I cried harder}
- Breads
- Wheat
- Corn
- And many many other things
Now for the rules I’ll break everything down by the meals I’m allowed to eat.
Breakfast
- 2 Eggs preferably not scrambled
- A bowl of fruit
- A small bowl of nuts
- A bowl of fruit
Or
Dinner
- 6 to 8 oz. of protein (beef, chicken, fish, etc.)
- 2 vegetables or a large salad
So there you have my meal plan. Like I said this plan is not for everyone and you should consult with your doctor before beginning this. The hard part of this meal plan is finding different ways to cook the items that we have!
Good luck! I’m not sure I could cut out potatoes completely, but I’m going to start trying to cut back on how often I eat them.
It’s seriously the hardest part of my new diet! lol
