Book Description
“No one knows how bumpy the road to love is more than Tisha Cole. After years of excruciatingly embarrassing dates, the 25-year-old receptionist is ready to hand in her dating license, but her cynical cousin, Drew, will not let her. She knows that finding Mr. Right has always been Tisha’s ultimate goal in life and short of joining the search herself, Drew plans on doing whatever it is in her power to help Tisha find him. When they cross paths with two best friends and a very sexy entrepreneur, there’s a slight change in plans.
Drew who has always been adamant about keeping her single status begins to doubt her immunity to Tisha’s lovesickness.
Tisha has hit the jackpot with not one but two perfect dates! Where next will her quest for love take her when she decides to upgrade her relationship — with both men!
Two not-so-sweet cousins, three not-so-honest men. With the many potholes and crossroads along the way, will Tisha ever reach her destination?”
My Review
I found ‘Til I Find You to be a cute, contemporary “chick-lit” romance. The book starts out by giving you background on Tisha, her dating history, and her insecurities (mainly her nose). The novel progresses with Tisha getting herself into one awkward situation after another before finally deciding to swear dating off completely. Her well meaning cousin, who seems to be more like a sister than a cousin, decides this can’t happen and decides to help her cousin find her True Love. Again, things do not go as planned as Tisha still manages to get herself embroiled in situations, each being worse than the last. To make matters worse, the “candidates” for the role of Tisha’s True Love are not all playing by the rules. With each lying to Drew, and to Tisha. Ultimately the book flows very well and isn’t to long at all. My only complaint with the book is that Tisha does come off as a bit naive with some of the situations she gets herself into (a twenty-five year-old having a nonsexual “sleep over” with an older man and not expecting him to try something?!). While these situations do lead to funny conversations with her cousin, I found it hard to connect with such a reckless character. That being said, once you got use to this part of her you actually came to expect it.

This sounds like a fun book! I’d read it to read vicariously through Tisha. I kinda missed out on the dating science but I think I’d be a bit naive myself.

This is the review I’ve been waiting to read. It sounds like something that i’m willing to at least give a try. I will add it to my list. I’m with you though when they are way to naive it doesn’t seem realistic and can be kind of buggy.

Is it just me or are more and more of the heroines we’re supposed to “fall in love” with fresh off the train? I’m so over the girl that thinks life is all rosey. Ugh. That being said, I’d still read something like this… I can’t help it… I love happily ever afters!
