Another month has come to a close so that means it’s time for another monthly beauty favorites post. And do you know that as I sit here typing this I realized so many more products that were my favorites and that just slipped my mind. I guess that’s a good thing or this post would scroll for DAYS.
The video:
Taylor Swift Wonderstruck
I love the scent of this perfume! Sephora lists the fragrance notes as being Freesia, Green Tea, Apple Blossom, Raspberry, and Dewberry. To be honest I don’t know what a dewberry smells like so I’m going to go with that I think you get a lot of Freesia in the scent.
Precision QTips
These q-tips are great to use in cleaning up mascara around the eye, eye shadow that has run away from you, or nail polish that has decided that the nail bed is the LAST place it wants to reside.
NYX Blush
At first I didn’t like this blush because lets face it it’s more of a bronzer than a blush and I don’t really bronze that much. Then I tried it along the tops of my cheek bones and WOW this color is actually quite gorgeous. The shade is Copper for those who are wondering.
Makeup wipes
I’m loving both of these sets of makeup wipes. The ones on the left are the CVS Nighttime Makup Remover cloths and they are essentially a generic version of Neutrogena’s Night Calming Makeup Wipes. I’ve heard that the Neutrogena version has a strong lavender smell and some find it irritating, the CVS doesn’t have such a strong smell in my opinion.
The wipes on the right are a set of LA Fresh Makeup Wipes that I received in one of my Ipsy bags. These have a nice scent as well and are super soft. They sell their travel packs with only 5 wipes in a pack so I’ve been babying these for as long as possible. I actually just used the last wipe the other day and now I’m a sad panda.
Lady Gaga Fame
Sephora says that the Lady Gaga perfume has “Belladonna, Incense, Apricot, Honey Drops, Tiger Orchidea, Jasmin Sambac” yeah the only thing I got out of the was Apricot and Honey and I don’t really smell either of these things when I wear this. I DO smell something long last and deliciously musky…did I just say that? Anywhoozle, the main thing I LOVE about this perfume is that it’s this awesome black color in the bottle but it comes out clear. That’s just epic in my book.
Julep Nail Box
I LOVE this box. Julep sales this white jewelry box both unfilled (which is what I bought) for $48/non-maven or $38.40/maven. They also sell it full with 12 polishes in the Oprah’s Favorites set and it’s on sale for $84/non-maven and maven right now. I obviously didn’t need the 12 polishes as I not only filled this box up but I also have other Juleps that didn’t fit in the box. The great thing about this box is that the inside is very pretty, the outside is a nice white, it’s sturdy, but also you can take out the dividers and use it as an actual jewelry box!
Julep Beach Tonic
This Julep beach tonic spray that I got in my July Classic with a Twist box is so great. It’s got a nice citrusy smell to it, it leaves me feeling soft, and it’s not oily or greasy. I’m loving this for a nice summer scent.
Eyebrow Combo
My current eyebrow routine is to use Urban Decay’s Bewitched, from the Theodora palette, with a Real Techniques brow brush. The brow brush makes it so easy to follow the natural shape of my eyebrows and the Bewitched is close enough shade that the powder blends in with my natural hairs so as long as I’m not heavy handed it doesn’t hardly look like I used anything in my brows.
Clean and Clear Moisturizer
I’ve seen a few other people talk about this moisturizer but not everyone had great things to say about it. Being me I decided to give it a try for myself and I LOVE it. It has a feint citrus scent which serves as a wake-me-up in the morning, it’s oil free so it doesn’t make my t-zone extra oily, but it also really moisturizes dry skin, it has a SPF of 15, and on top of all that it also brightens your face. Loving this moisturizer.
