As much as I love beauty sometimes I need a little break from it and the blog. A night curled up reading in bed with the puppy, laying back in the recliner reading while the hubs plays a game, or just relaxing in a hot bath with a good book is usually how I do this. The problem with this is that when I go to the stores I usually head straight for the beauty items and by the time I’ve finished with those the hubs has that “I’m getting impatient” look in his eyes so I usually wind up skipping the book section. So how in the world do I keep up with knowing what to read?! It’s easy, I join book challenges and book clubs. I love them and I think part of why I love them is that the challenge and the interactions with other contestants or members makes me want to keep reading.

I want to see the movie and thought I should read the book before doing so. I’m assuming it’s like most of his other books in that I should have a box of Kleenex nearby for the ending.

I’m aanxious to hear what you think about Dead Ever After….I thought it was a safe ending to the serious but I actually liked it while I know many people who did not. My Sister’s Keeper was a fabulous book but make sure you have tissues-it’s a sobber1

I’m soooo excited to read that one you have no idea. I have to wait to July 1st to start though and it’s going to drive me crazy waiting lol. But it should give me time to read the two books on my review to do list before starting this challenge.

Gonna give this challenge a try!! Ohh and btw I can’t find any book where the main character has the same first name as I do. What should I do??
Cassie says
If you head over to the Semi-Charmed blog, which is linked in the post, you can leave her a comment and she says in the rules on her site that she’ll try to work with you and find something that you can do for that task. Hope that helps 🙂 And I like your name by the way that is very unique 🙂

Goodreads is sooo great. I love that you can update your status as you read the book (I’ve seen others do that but I haven’t figured out how yet)

This challenge sounds so fun!! I LOVE Safe Haven. It’s my favorite Sparks book. My Sister’s Keeper is one of my favorite books of all time. Made me fall in love with Jodi Picoult. Good luck with the Grapes of Wrath. It was the only book I could not read all the way through in high school.
