Alright Memorial Day Weekend is over and it’s time to jump back into blogging. I’m sorry that there haven’t been many posts this past weekend. My mother-in-law was down from North Carolina for the weekend and the hubs and I were just enjoying a great weekend spending time with her.
To make it up to you today’s post is going to be the reveal for the Preview to Summer Book Swap that I signed up for a few weeks back.
As you can see, this swap wasn’t just about swapping books but more about creating a care package for your partner that would be something that you would like to receive yourself. I was partnered with Erica from Looking to the Stars. While I did my best to send her a great package she very much went above and beyond for mine.
Lets start with the books that Erica sent me. One of the books that I requested was this book by Lauren Kate. My sister loves the Fallen and House of Night series and is always telling me I need to read them. Two birds with one stone by requesting this one, I can’t wait to get started reading it.
The next book that Erica got me was this Nicholas Sparks book titled “The Best of Me” and not only have I already started reading it…but I also finished it already. Let me tell you this book was spectacular!!…but also very very very sad.
Seeing as beauty is my main topic of focus on the blog, I was super excited to see some Julep nail polishes in my box. I just started with Julep and got the starter box at the beginning of May so receiving two more Juleps, in such gorgeous colors to boot, was awesome. These will be featured in future blog posts.
The last few things in my box were a copy of a crafting magazine that I already started thumbing threw and bookmarking a few crafts that I want to try. A can of Pringles that I think the hubs may have broken into, if not I should I go hide them. Lastly, a super sweet card and a set of Disney Princess stickers which I plan on putting on my blog planner.
I think the main thing that set Erica’s box apart from any package I’ve received in a swap (not that I’ve received many) is that she individually wrapped each of my gifts in cute summery wrapping paper. How awesome is that? I was so excited to take out the individual gifts and unwrap them, it was like having a second birthday!

Stopping over from the book swap! How adorable is that wrapping paper! Sparks books always make me sad, he’s a very emotional writer. I haven’t heard of Fallen, but I will have to check it out. Wow, Julep nail polish?! NICE!!

Love the nail polish! Love to read as well, but I just can’t handle Mr. Sparks. Just too sad for me. How sweet that she got you the Disney Princess stickers. She obviously knows you well! LOL

Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors! I always love a good nail polish brand, but I haven’t tried Julep. Those colors are gorgeous and perfect for a business casual look. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you had a great time with the swap 🙂

Yay- what a great package! We’re always encouraging our bloggers to individually wrap or package their gifts, over at Chaotic Goddess Swaps…it’s more fun that way. Like Christmas! 🙂
Is that silver Julep “Rebel”? I LOVE that color, and if so, you totally will as well!
