Nailed It: My Nail Polish Collection

New series on the blog! New series on the blog! Are you shocked? I’m not {wink}. So what is this new series and what are the deets? Well it’s going to be called Nailed It and essentially it’s just going to be the posts that focus on all things nails. For example, posts about my Julep subscription would fall in here, posts with swatches and reviews would be in there, posts about my collection, etc. There will be no rhyme or reason to the posts they will just be posts about nails.

So why make nails they’re own series? Well that way all you have to do is go over to the search box in the sidebar and type in Nailed It and it will bring up all the nail posts. Easy peasy.

The first post of the series is going to post on a genius way of keeping up with your nail polish collection. Have you ever been in the middle of a store, or shopping online, and see a polish that you just love and you either A. can’t remember if you have it or B. you get home and you either have it or something super similar to it? If not lucky you, but if you have keep reading. NOTE: I did not come up with this method, I found out about it from a Julep Swap group I’m in and I thought it was such a great idea.

Pinterest. That is how you keep up with your collection. I know, it’s so easy and so genius and I can’t believe I never thought of it myself. I’m seriously smacking myself for it taking this long to catch on.

Essentially, what you do is you go find a swatch (or bottle picture) of the nail polish that you own and pin it to a board. This way you can no only see what you have on the computer super easy but you can also just throw the link to your friends to show them what you already have. They can also surprise you with nail polishes that are not on your board.

What also makes this method super great is that Pinterest has an app for your phone which will make shopping in store super easy now.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m super excited about this. I’m heading back to my nail polish collection to continue adding swatches to my board. Feel free to head over to my Pinterest and follow me or my nail polish collection specifically.

Will you be making a nail polish collection board? If so leave me a link in the comments so I can what you guys are loving.

So cute! I realized a couple months ago since having a son I have completely stopped doing those girly things I love, like painting my nails. I think I will be doing more soon with inspiration like this. I’m going to start a board now.

Nail painting is one of those things that I HAVE to do. I can leave the house without makeup but I can’t go without nail polish or changing polish!

What a great idea! Sort of how Martha Stewart told everyone to walk around with a huge book of swatches and samples. You know, so you could know if a pillow was the exact color it needed to be before you bought it. Only I like this idea better. MUCH better!
