I know that it’s been awhile since I’ve participated in a Literary Junkies linkup but I thought I’d give it another go this month. As it’s the third Tuesday of the month it’s that time again.
1. What are you currently reading? Tell us about it.
2. What are your top 3 favorite summer reads?
3. What are your top 3 summer to-reads?
4. What book do you wish they’d make a movie of?

Your 3 favorite summer reads are by 3 of my favorite authors! They all write amazing series.
Brenna @ Life After Laundry says
This makes me want to dive into a good book. I have got to work in more time for enjoying things like that.

OK, I have totally been wanting to start the Sookie Stackhouse books! And I love Janet Evanovich, is she related to Stephanie? I thought about reading The Great Gatsby, but I saw the original movie with Robert Redford a few weeks ago, and well it’s rather depressing! I don’t read nearly as much as I’d like to. I need to schedule some reading time by the pool this summer!

I love Stephanie Evanovich! But I’ve never heard Big Girl Panties! I will have to look into that 😛 I want to read the Great Gatsby too.. I have an actual hardback of it, I’ve just never read it! I’m horrible haha
Big Books says
dead ever after is on my list too! http://ilikebigbooksblog.wordpress.com/

Love me some Mary Kay Andrews!! I think I’m obsessed. 😉 LOL Have you read her first series under her real name? Kathy Trocheck? I’ve read the first book and loved it!
Miss Angie says
Haha, Dead Ever After is on my To-Read too! I just added Big Girl Panties to it as well! 😀
Christine Rosko says
You to-read list is really great. I haven’t heard of the first two but I have definitely heard of the last. I’ve read the first nine and I can’t wait to finish the series even though it will be a little sad. I’m definitely looking up the other two and the Jane Eyre rip-off. That one sounds really interesting and I love Jane Eyre to begin with. I hope Lesley and Taylor and The Longest Ride to the list too! Maybe we can start a campaign 🙂
Lesley says
Thanks so much for linking up!!
Cassie Tucker says
I’ve only read Charlaine Harris, I’ve never read the other two. If I’m able to get them and read them I’ll have to let you know how I like them 🙂
Cassie Tucker says
Brenna you’re going to have to duplicate yourself or something with all the stuff that you try to do! However, I have found that the three best times for book reading are bath, pool, and car trips.
Cassie Tucker says
I actually didn’t know the answer to this question so I had to go look it up. It turns out that Janet Evanovich is a pen name for Steffie Hall (I think is her real name) but yes they are related, Janet is Stephanie’s aunt. Also, you should totally start the Sookie books, currently I’m loving those way more than the tv show.
Cassie Tucker says
:O I can’t believe that you never had to read The Great Gatsby in high school. It’s such a great book you should give it a try…very depressing though. Big Girl Panties is the name of her book that’s either about to come out or just came out, I can’t remember which.
Cassie Tucker says
I’m sad for the day that she finally ends the series…this isn’t the end is it? I think I saw someone mention somewhere that it was. The thought makes me a sad panda 🙁
Cassie Tucker says
I’ve never read anything by Mary Kay Andrews or her alter ego but now I’m looking forward to reading a book from both lol.
Cassie Tucker says
I was so afraid of The Eyre Affair at first as Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books of all time. I went in totally thinking I was going to hate the book and the author but it actually wasn’t that bad, far fetched but good. I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
Charlie says
Ooh, can we come and use your pool? I’ll bring my own books. Thanks so much for sharing.
Cassie Tucker says
For sure 😉
Sara Stone says
Mary Kay Andrews and the Eyre Affair have been added to my “Want to Reads”! Thanks!

Stopping by from the Literary Junkie Link Up! I have to admit, I just couldn’t get into the Sookie Stackhouse series. I used to watch True Blood religiously and enjoyed that-but I just couldn’t get into the books for some reason. I know a lot of people love them-I guess I am just strange!
