Sunday Social: All About Two’s

This week I decided to participate in the Sunday Social link-up rather than the Scavenger Hunt Sunday link-up. I mainly did this because I really loved the questions that Ashley and Neely came up with this week, and of course I’ll be linking up this post with both of those ladies.

This week’s theme, as you can see, is all about two’s. I’m just going to jump straight into the questions instead of explaining the theme. You’ll get the drift as we go along.

Stuck on Island

First off I’m going to say that I put my own mythical “requirement” on this question, there would be power to the island but you could not contact the outside world for help. I didn’t do this because I thought it made the question better I did it because of the two items I would want to have. The first item would be my Nook complete with charger and Wi-fi, that way I could read any books that I wanted for as long as I wanted. My second item would be a blender, think of how good some of the fruits and nuts would be if blended into shakes or smoothies. I’m thinking perfect island vacation with those two items.

TV Shows

The first show that I could watch over and over without a doubt would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I didn’t even need to think about this option. The second show, however, was a bit harder because it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I get in a mood where I could watch a crime show back-to-back-to-back but then there are times where if I see another “bad guy of the week” type show I’ll scream. For my second show I would have to say either Criminal Minds for when I’m in that crime show mood and Doctor Who for when I’m not.

Grab

I didn’t even have to think about this one. The first item I would grab would be my computer, I have all of my pictures from my different cameras and phones backed up on my there that I wouldn’t want to loose (although this question has me thinking that maybe I should back-up all those pictures onto discs.) The second item I would grab would be Travis’s grandfather’s flag that was draped over his casket during the funeral.

Clothing

Again I didn’t even have to think about this question. My first favorite item of clothing is my Saints Hoodie. It’s baggie, super comfy, warm, and of course it advertises my favorite football team. My second favorite item of clothing is not very fashionable, however, they are easy to wear and super comfy. They would be my Saints Crocs *hangs head in shame*.

Movies

Okay I should explain that I took this to mean “What have you seen in theaters in the last 365 days.” Travis and I didn’t go see a lot of movies this past year because of the move but we did see quite a few. Out of the few that we saw I would recommend The Hunger Games and Skyfall. I would recommend Hunger Games because it was a great series of books and the movie was just as good. The graphics were all spectacular as were the actors. As for Skyfall all I can say about that movie is that I am in no way shape or form a James Bond fan but I LOVED Skyfall. It had a great story, twists that I didn’t see coming, and great acting.

Guilty Pleasures

My first guilty pleasure would be pecan pie. I say that because it is oh so yummy but it’s also oh so fattening! My other guilty pleasure would be cheese sticks from Captain D’s and for the exact same reason.

What are two items you would like to have on a deserted island?

Don’t forget to go check-out our first ever link-up!

Oh, a blender and electricity. Nice. But, do you think that ice would be readily available? Because… I wonder if s smoothy would be good warm…
