Since I covered My Top 5 Favorite Romance Movies last week, I thought it would be cool to do My Top 5 Hated Romance Movies. Sort of like an anti-Valentines Day list.
Number 5
This movie is really only on the list because I find it annoying. I know it’s a cult favorite and I do think it has a good love story to it. However, I find Cary Elwes to be super annoying in this movie along with the Princess.
Number 4
I don’t know what it is about this movie that I find annoying. Whether it’s the fact that they are COMPLETE FREAKING STRANGERS so it’s not romantic it’s just CREEPY! Or if it’s just the fact that by time I saw this movie so I was so tired of the Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan combo that I just couldn’t get into this movie. Either way I know it’s another beloved movie but I just can’t get it.
Number 3
I know I’m going to get soooo much hate for having this on a hated list, and double for having it this high but I just had to do it. While the book is okay and I’m watching the movie series to see if they make cruddy ending any better, as a romantic story this SUCKS. We have clingy Bella and stalker Edward. I mean c’mon he sneaks into her bedroom without her knowing to watch her sleep, that’s creepy stalker behavior. As for her she often runs off, disobeys her parents, forsakes her friends, and puts herself into dangerous situations for Edward. This is in no way shape or form a healthy relationship so as a romantic story I just don’t like it.
Number 2
I can’t even begin to describe why I hate this movie. I disliked the premise of the movie, I disliked Kate Hudson as the female role, Matthew wasn’t adding much for his part either, and they just didn’t have chemistry in my opinion. I cringed throughout most of this movie.
Number 1
This may just be my most hated movie of all time, not just romance movies. I didn’t like John Krasinski, he just felt awkward. I didn’t like the premise of the story, it was really uncomfortable. Lastly, Robin Williams as the priest wasn’t funny it was horrendous. This movie was so terrible I couldn’t make it through the full thing.
