I’m sure that everyone has noticed that Travis and I haven’t been posting all that much. It seems like every time I get tons of posts planned out something always happens before I have a chance to do all the things that go into executing the post. We had the move, then issues with the house after the move, then issues with Travis going back to school in January (he wasn’t able to), then Thanksgiving, then we were sick, then Christmas, then Travis’s Grandfather passed.
I have actually come up with a plan to prevent this from happening in the future. This weekend I’m going to do the activities that are needed for some of the posts I have planned and preplan a bunch of posts to go live on certain days at certain times. That way if something comes up there should already be posts ready to go live during that time. I’m crossing my fingers that this works.
In the meantime I have something exciting to share with you guys, which if you are viewing this on the blog on a desktop computer then you probably already know the news. Southeast by Midwest has gotten a brand new look!! I’m soooo excited about our new look. If you poke around you’ll notice that just about everything has changed there’s a new header, a new navigation bar (with a new option to click on [more on that soon I promise]), new labels on the side, and new colors for text.
The super bright colors were starting to bug me and I felt that the header just wasn’t what the blog was about now. It was good for when I was going to be blogging about what it was like going from the Midwest, to Louisiana, and then to South Carolina. When the blog became something Travis and I were doing together it just didn’t seem to fit anymore. So this new design is what I like to call “Travis Meets Cassie” it’s got the blue for him being male and the pink for me being a female (cliche I know but I like it), there’s the sloppy handwriting for him and the prettier font for me in the header, and if you look at the new button there’s a cute little bird couple with hearts.
Hopefully you guys like the new look.
