We have been totally slacking on the blog front, I know it and I admit it. However, in our defense we have both been sick recently, but we are going to get better and not leave such gaps.
As proof of that I offer to you some things that are going to be coming up on the blog:
Travis has a new series that he will be starting soon, which I think he mentions in this post, where he will take one movie a day and discuss its features, the quality of the movie, whether it’s a buy, etc.
How do you guys like the button I designed for it? |
I have signed up to attend a blogging conference! While it’s not a physical blog conference (we can’t afford that lol, but I would love to attend a physical conference one day) it is an online conference and the people speaking are some big names in the food and crafting blog world. I’m so excited and can’t wait for the weekend it goes live 😀
I’m going to start doing my daily photos again. To be honest I stopped doing them because things started to get so hectic with house but I really do miss doing them. I thought a lot about following the prompts that Chantelle does over on her blog Fat Mum Slim, by the way her prompts on Instagram have become this huge thing, and I may do that as a monthly thing but for my dailies I think I’m just going to stick with taking a picture of something going on in my day.
On the 15th of the month, as for the past two months, I’ll be participating in the Husbands Need Love Too Link-Up that Cassie hosts over on her blog Live. Laugh. L0ve. Since I was co-hosting last month I gave her an idea that I thought would work well with her link-up, monthly themes or prompts that participants can choose to do and she totally jumped on it!!! So I’m super excited to participate this month with the first themed prompt.
Also, I found a new link-up that I’ll be participating in that goes live on Sunday’s and they’re little questions to get to know the blogger a bit better. Some past questions have been things like “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and “What’s your favorite scary movie?” so I can’t wait to start participating in this. I will do my first one this weekend, and I’m going to try to get Travis to answer some with me.
Speaking of the other Cassie, we have an ad running this month on her blog. So I’m super duper excited about that, as it’s really the first advertising that we’ve done about the blog.
Both Travis and I are going to be posting up a review on Mists of Pandaria and our thoughts on the game so far. So that will be something for the gamers to look forward to.

Lastly, as we move into the fall and winter months you can expect some recipes and crafts to start appearing on the blog. We just moved to South Carolina and I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced a South Carolina summer but I can tell you one thing…it’s hot, and I do mean HOT. So turning the oven on? Yeah, not happening. Besides that, most of the recipes that I know are those really hearty dishes that are just to heavy in the summer. So now that it’s gotten to that time of year you can expect some yummy dishes and some easy-to-do crafts to start popping up.
