On October 2nd, 2013 Mac will launch their new RiRi Loves Mac collection ONLINE. Boy are there some gorgeous products that I would LOVE to get my hands on. Lets see what’s going to be in the collection shall we?
Lips
There are four lipsticks that are being released in this set, however, RiRi Woo is a repackage. As you can see the package is drastically different than Mac’s usual lipstick and on the sides of the actual lipstick Rihanna’s signature is embossed.
RiRi Woo is a cool toned matte red lipstick.
Talk that Talk is a deep plum matte lipstick.
Who’s that Chick is a frost lipstick that is orange in color.
Nude is a nude cream lipstick that is matte.
There is also a red cream lipglass that is named after the red matte lipstick, RiRi Woo.
Lastly, there are two Pro Longwear lip pencils one in red, RiRi Woo, and one in plum, Talk that Talk.
Face
The first “face” item are these lustre drops in Barbados Girl. Lustre drops are listed on Mac’s website as a bronzer that applies like “liquid sun” from my understanding it can be used on the body or in moderation on the cheeks.
The next face item is a blush in the shade Bad Girl Gone Good, I love the name of this product.
The last item for the face is the repackaged Hibiscus Kiss Bronzer and Blush duo. I love love love the packaging, I just wish that there was more blush instead of more bronzer.
Eyes
The first item for the eyes is the Extended Play Lash Mascara in a rebranded package for the collection. The Extended Play Lash Mascara is supposed to last 16-hours without smudging.
I originally thought that this was a blush or bronzer but it actually turns out that this is a Cream Color Base in Diamond. A cream color base is a cream eyeshadow that Mac puts out.
There are also two sets of false eyelashes that will be in the collection as well. I’m a bit disappointed with these as they are the exact same eyelashes that are already sold by Mac, just with a different outer package. I feel that they could have stepped it up and made these a bit more glamorous. The two sets that are being sold are 35‘s and 36‘s.
The next eye item is the Liquid Eyeliner.
The last two items for the eyes in the collection are two eyeshadow palettes. The first is a set of brown eyeshadows called Her Cocoa and it contains a bronze gold with a lustre finish, a peach with a satin finish, an antique gold with a veluxe pearl finish, and a chocolatey bronze with a lustre finish.
The second eyeshadow quad is Smoked Cocoa and it contains a champagne color that is a veluxe pearl finish, a mid-tone grey that is a matte finish, a black with silver pigments that is a lustre finish, and a black that is a satin finish.
Misc
This item is both a tool and an eye product but I decided to put it with the misc tools due to the spooley on the end. Mac will have this eyebrow pencil in a light and medium shade.
The 187SE brush is a special edition of the 187 sold by Mac already. The 187 is a duo-fibre face brush that Mac recommends being used with face powders and pigments.
The 282SE has the distinction of being not only the last item in the collection but the last brush in the misc section. I don’t believe that the 282 is sold any longer by Mac but I believe it may be an eyeshadow brush a shader brush specifically, but don’t quote me on that. Due to the fact that the 282 is no longer offered it makes this brush even more of a special edition!
So there you have an overview of the RiRi Loves Mac collection coming to a Mac near you soon. I’m loving the packaging and I hope I can get my hands on some of these pieces!!
