Purchase: Drugstore.com

Cost: $8.00

OPI Cajun Shrimp is a red shade that is part of their permanent collection. This polish is a regular gloss polish and can be purchased anywhere OPI polishes are sold.

Ease of Application

OPI Cajun Shrimp goes on flawlessly and evenly. I have applied this multiple times and I have not had any problems with patchiness, streaking, or any other application issues. I think out of all of the polishes that I own this one goes on the best.

Score: 10 out of 10

Color

The color of this polish is a bright red shade. It is opaque within the first coat and the second coat just makes it a bit brighter and evens out any user flaws. I find that this polish works great with my skin tone, and in my personal opinion would look great on just about all skin tones.

Score: 10 out of 10

Feel

This is a glossy polish and as such feels glossy. However, it can go a bit dull after a short period of time so to keep that glossiness you might want to get a top coat.

9 out of 10

Lasting Power

The lasting power of this polish is phenomenal. It usually lasts me about a week give or take a day without chipping. If pushed I could probably wear it for another weak before it looked HORRIBLE. With a gel top coat this polish could possible last a month.

10 out of 10

Overall – 9.75 out of 10

That is some bright red! I never do my nails because it’s usually my nails and the rest of my hands, but I’d love to try out that red!

If you ever go and get your nails done you should check and see if they have the polish there. Or find a girlfriend that’s really good at doing nails and bribe her to do yours lol 🙂

I’m a long time user of OPI, and I’ve used Cajun Shrimp for years. It’s got a nice coral hue to it, and is hot enough to remind me of summer.

LOL the first time I saw it in the store my first thought was “Oh Cajun, I’m from Louisiana” but I put it down. After walking through the store a bit longer I finally went back and picked it up without really knowing why. When my hubs and I were later eating at a seafood restaurant I figured it out lol.

Super cute color to get into the spirit of Valentine’s Day! I typically get pedicures instead of painting my nails because the polish wears off so quickly. Maybe if I use a high-quality polish like OPI that won’t happen.

A good way to get any quality of polish to last a super long time is to use a gel polish in between coats and after your top coat. Another blogger, Angela, has a tutorial up on her site that you can check out 🙂
