March Beauty Favorites

I was going to do this on my Youtube channel but I haven’t had time to sit down and actually film and edit a video. Instead you are getting my March Beauty Favorites, a tad late, in picture format. Yay!!

Lets get started with my favorite item of the month and work down to my least favorite.

My favorite item hands down would have to be the Real Technique Brushes that Travis got me for birthday. I never put much stock in the thought that the makeup brushes you use effect the quality of your makeup, essentially a high quality brush could bring a lower quality makeup up a bit higher and vice-versa. Until I used these brushes. Oh-my-goodness the first time I used them not only did my makeup look flawless but it stayed on so much longer. I’ve added two more brushes from this line to my wish list.

Originally I was a Covergirl Classic Compact girl, until I saw several Youtube beauty gurus rave about this product. When I updated my makeup a few months back I decided to throw this into the buggy to give it a try and I can see why they raved about it. I have a super oily t-zone area and using this keeps me matte in that area for most of the day, it also makes my skin feel super soft and velvety so if my foundation is feeling a bit cakey that day this fixes it. Also, it doesn’t tint the skin hardly any.

Just as a heads up these balls can be super addicting, not just in purchasing but in using as well. I started out by picking up a Summer Fruit in the Walmart check out line. A week later I picked up another one because I could not find the one I just bought, it went missing for ONE day people and instead of risking not having one for a week I had to get another one. I currently have two Summer Fruits, a Strawberry Sherbert, a Disney Alice in Wonderland Set (Blueberry, Vanilla, and Watermelon), and Travis has a sweet mint. Be warned that they don’t have a flavor just a strong scent, a super moisturizing feel, and a very high addiction level…okay maybe that’s just me.

Baby Lips are another product that I saw several beauty gurus rave about and had to try one. This one is Cherry Me and it smells just like cherry Kool-Aid, I could sit here and sniff this all day long if it wouldn’t be just to damn weird. The plus to this one is that it adds just a touch of color to your lips so it’s awesome to just throw in your bag and go.

Speaking of bag, I am loving my bag that I got with my March Ipsy subscription. Not only is it gorgeous but it’s lightweight and it’s made of a beach bag type material which means if you’re using it near water and it gets wet it won’t be ruined. I love this bag so much that it currently houses all my lip balms and is in my purse.

I tend to try to wear nail polish for at least a week, not because I love the look and want to live with it for that long but more because I just don’t have time to sit down and remove, prep, paint, wait to dry, etc. That being said, I hate when my nail polish chips a day or two in, which my always seems to do. For awhile there I actually thought that all nail polishes hated me. Turns out I just needed a really good top coat and after several tries I finally found this Revlon Base and Top Coat and I don’t think I’ll ever use another top coat.

This cleanser has changed my life. I received it as a sample with an Ulta order awhile back and was able to use it several times and my goodness. Not only does it remove makeup but it cleanses afterwards without having to reapply and it didn’t burn my eyes when I was trying to remove my eye makeup. I wish that it wasn’t so gosh darn expensive because this would be in my everyday routine.

I have been looking for an old-fashioned clay mask for YEARS, I’m not exaggerating here the last time I found one was when I was in high school. I love the way that my skin feels after ten minutes sitting in a clay mask especially if I was relaxing to some music or reading a book while it was drying. To make it even better this one smells like Doublemint Chewing Gum so it’s not a chore to sit there for ten minutes.

I’ve been putting of trying anything from the Organix line, I don’t know why but at the time but it felt like a good reason at the time. After using it the first time I knew this was going on my March Favorites List. Not only does it smell like raspberries but my hair is always super soft after using it and I tend to get less flyaways on days that I use this.

We are at the end of the list and this is my least favorite item of the month. I am going to be completely honest with you here and tell you that I did not buy this product for the product itself nor is it on the list for the product. I purchased it and it’s on the list for the sole purpose that it says “Pond’s” and as soon as I saw it I immediately thought “THE PONDS, NOOOOOOO. THE FEELS!!!! CURSE YOU MOFFAT” and threw it straight into the cart. Not going to front or lie, I purchased this and love this product because of Doctor Who. Don’t judge!

What are 3 of your March favorites?

My girls use this powder and love it! I like look of the brushes, the set seems to have everything one would need. Maybe I’ll get them for my girls so they’ll stop stealing mine! LOL

@4f74e309fbcd85806f10b5b92857a4ae:disqus : It’s a great powder! And HA! to your girls stealing yours 🙂 They seriously are great sets to start out with. The first set has four face brushes and the second set has 5 eye brushes but the great thing about them is that they can be used in cream, liquid, and powder products without a problem and they can also be used for different tasks. For example, the detailer brush in the face set (the littlest one) I actually use for a lip stick/gloss brush 🙂
