It’s time for my January Birchbox Unboxing! Just a reminder: Birchbox is a monthly subscription with a base price of $10/month. For the month of December Birchbox has partnered with Charlotte Cho, co-founder of Soko Glam for this month’s Editor’s Choice box. The sample choices for this month were all Korean Beauty themed. As I have no real experience with Korean Beauty, I decided to go with the Editor’s Choice. The Editor’s Choice box contained a small bottle of Goodal Waterest First Essence, a tube of IPKN Flash Cream Radiant Primer, a tube of RE:P Bio Fresh Mask with Real Calming Herb, a bottle of TONYMOLY Delight Tony Tint in Red, and one Manefit Beauty Planner Cucumber Soothing + Moisturizing sheet mask. There was also a bonus duo of Goodal Yerba mate Bubble Peeling and Goodal Yerba Mate Cleansing Foam.

Those were all the items in the January Korean Beauty Birchbox. While I felt that this box was an excellent way of getting started in Korean Beauty I ultimately have decided that this will be my last Birchbox for awhile. The boxes are just so hit and miss and I’d rather save my $10/month for something like the Target Box or the Macy’s/Sephora Boxes that I am on the waiting list for!
There is a waiting list for Sephora boxes? I didn’t even know they had a subscription box. Can’t wait until your first Sephora box reveal. Hope you get it soon!
Looks like you got a box of great stuff in your Korean beauty Birchbox. I always love to see what comes in subscription boxes.
I’m sooo not a makeup person, but I’ve considered trying Birchbox so I can get introduced to some new products! I can’t help but use the same things over and over.
That’s going to be interesting getting different stuff from different countries to try. I have traveled all over the world and I will say that America has not cornered the market on some things.
I have heard a lot of great things about Birch box. I really need to try it. The products look great!

I usually find at least two items in my Birchbox that I love. For me, it’s just exciting to get that good mail. I want to know more about the other beauty boxes you mentioned!

I chose the regular box for January and got a couple of things I really loved. It’s fun to see the “real person” reveal of the Korean Beauty box, too!
I agree that I think for the money I would try one of the other boxes. It seems some love this box and others aren’t so fond!
My daughter has been wanting to sign up for a makeup box but wasn’t sure which way to go. I’ll have to let her know about birchbox.
This looks like a pretty great box to get introduced to Korean brands; too bad about being disappointed about the boxes in general though. Hopefully you’ll find something better!
I can’t believe now there are beauty products with yerba mate! I guess my great grandma’s sipping of the mate had some impressive properties we didn’t know about! You know I will be hunting for this product now 🙂 Thanks for telling me about it

This looks like a pretty neat subscription box. I went through my frenzy with subscription boxes last year and I have to stay clear of them this year. Money is tight, but if I ever decided to start back I think this one would be nice. Found you at Best of the Blogosphere.
