Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2015 #walmartbeautybox #subscriptionbox

The Walmart Beauty Box is a seasonal box that is delivered around the beginning of a season and contains products that are deemed appropriate for that season. Towards the beginning of July I received the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box and it contained one full-size product, five deluxe samples, one perfume sample, and 3(ish) foil packet samples. The Walmart Beauty Box only costs $5 per box, the cost of shipping.

Clear Scalp & Hair Theraphy

The first item in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box was a bottle of Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Shampoo. Normally I stay away from shampoos that are in sample boxes as they irritate my scalp, however, the Clear Shampoo says that it’s a nourishing anti-dandruff shampoo so I’m going to give it a go. If you decided to head to the store to pick this one up I do recommend giving it a sniff first, to me it has the scent of the conditioner that comes in drugstore boxed hair dye.

Purchase

Dove Go Fresh Body Wash

The second item in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box was a bottle of Dove Go Fresh Body Wash in Mandarin & Tiare Flower. I’ve actually received this in a different box and it’s really not that bad. You expect it to have a strong citrus or floral scent due to the mandarin and tiare flower respectively. That is not the case, the two actually balance each other out quite well. Once I run out of samples I might just go purchase the full-size of this

Purchase

Jergens Natural Glow Lotion

The third item in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box was a set of three foil packets for the Jergens Natural Glow 3 Day Glow in Medium to Tan. This might have actually have been a rather good product to test out if the shade wasn’t medium to tan. If I went to a tanning bed or self-tanned I’d be a medium on a really good day so to try a medium to tan as a starter shade just wouldn’t look natural. Sadly, this is a worthless product for me.

Purchase

Neutrogena CoolDry Sport Sunscreen

The fourth item in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box was a bottle of Neutrogena CoolDry Sport Sunscreen. This has an SPF of 70 and is water-resistant for 80 minutes. Living in South Carolina in the middle of summer with a heat wave hitting this was a great thing to see in a box, PLUS it doesn’t have a strong sunscreen scent so bonus!

Purchase

Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream

The fifth item in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box is a container of Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream. First can we talk about how cute the packaging for this is? Adorable! Secondly, if you watch the video you’ll see that I show you how this has a nice thick, almost whipped texture to it, I’m in love with it. Lastly, the scent is just a classic moisturizer scent. This is for sure going to be a repurchase!

Purchase

NYC Liquid Lipshine

The sixth item, and only full-size one, in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box was a NYC Liquid Lipshine in Fashion Ave Fuchsia. I have to say that I’m not a huge fan of this product. I’ve hated how the wand in this product was shaped since it first came out. It just doesn’t pull a decent amount of product from the container nor does it give an even application.

Purchase

St. Ives Green Tea Scrub

The seventh item in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box was a bottle of St. Ives Green Tea Scrub. I’ve always been a huge St. Ives fan and constantly go back to their Apricot Scrub but I have to admit I was super intrigued when I saw the Green Tea Scrub on the shelves. I like that this not only clears blackheads but supposedly calm redness as well. The scent is a bit overpowering so I’d give it a sniff before buying, and if you’re still unsure about buying check the travel section in the beauty/health section as I’ve seen these travel friendly sizes there before.

Purchase

One Direction You & I Perfume

The last item in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box was a One Direction You & I perfume sample. It seems that every box has a perfume sample and so far I haven’t been disappointed by what was included. This one is no different, it has a kind of sweet floral scent to it which I like. I will say that it does have a bit of that “cheap alcohol”, that some perfumes have, to it. I looked and the first ingredient is actually alcohol so I won’t be using this on the skin but it still smells nice so I’ll probably just use it to give my clothes a light mist.

Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box Contents

So that was everything in the Summer 2015 Walmart Beauty Box. While this box didn’t have a huge value, only $7.72, I think that I’ll actually windup at least testing out most of these products. That is a big achievement for a subscription box with me.

Had no idea such a box existed! Might be a fun item to have sent to my daughter when she’s away at college!
