Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes

Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes #DoubleCleanse #iFabboMember @Dermalogica

I was provided the Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes for review. However, all opinions are my own.

If you’ve been around for awhile then you know that I’ve come to love me some Dermalogica products. I’ve reviewed the Microfoliant and the Dynamic Skin Recovery on the blog. Having tried previous Dermalogica products, and loved them, I was a bit skeptical when I received these, I mean you can’t like every product from a company right?

Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes Products #DoubleCleanse #iFabboMember @Dermalogica

The Dermalogica PreCleanse System works on the “Double Cleanse” system. With the Double Cleanse system you use a PreCleanse product to break down your stubborn makeup, it even breaks down products like sunscreen. Dermalogica’s reasoning behind this Double Cleanse system is that breaking down these itms before hand will give you a deeper more professional level of cleaning.

Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes Oil #DoubleCleanse #iFabboMember @Dermalogica

The Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil is an oil cleanser that helps break down products on your face. To use the Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil you start by putting some of the product into dry hands and then applying to a dry face. For a deeper clean you can add a little bit of water to the product on your face and continue rubbing until it forms a “milky emulsion”. You then rinse with warm water and continue with your skin care routine.

Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil Ingredients

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, PEG-40 Sorbitan Peroleate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Solanum Lycopersicum (To-mato) Extract, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Decyl Olive Esters, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben

Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes Wipes #DoubleCleanse #iFabboMember @Dermalogica

If you’re a little iffy about the Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil then you can use the Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes. The wipes are premoistened and work like any other makeup remover wipe, however, with the Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil once you’ve wiped the wipe over your face the first time you can wet it to activate it’s “emulsion” process and wipe it back over your face. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeazy. You of course would then follow up with your skin care routine.

Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes Ingredients

Water/Aqua/Eau, Cyclopentasiloxane, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Lauryl PEG/PPG-18/18 Methicone, Dicaprylyl Ether, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Mentha Viridis Leaf Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Sodium PCA, Sodium Benzoate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopherol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Chloride, Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Citral, Phenoxyethanol

Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes Skin Care Routine #DoubleCleanse #iFabboMember @Dermalogica

I follow up my Dermalogica PreCleanse System with a cleanser, either Philosophy’s Purity or Michael Todd’s Oat Cleanser, and a moisturizer, always Embryolisse. Some things to note about the Dermalogica PreCleanse System is that they do have a bit of a scent to them but it’s not a perfume or harsh scent. The Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil smells like a mix of citrus and lavender, while the Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes have just a citrus scent to them. It’s nothing that would keep me from using them. Also, the Also, you can buy the Dermalogica PreCleanse System as a large system (5.1 oz. Oil and 20 wipes) for $56.00, a small system (1 oz. oil and 20 wipes) for $28.00, the oil separately (5.1 oz. or 1 oz) for $38.00 or $10.00 respectively, and the wipes separately (20 wipes) for $18.00. Lastly, you should know that I LOVED both of these products. When I run out I will be purchasing more and I think the Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes may become my go to wipes since my favorites aren’t sold anymore!

For sure Deb, it doesn’t leave an oily residue or anything. Plus it’ll help break down any of those extra products that you might have on the skin to help with oily skin 🙂

Since I don’t wear makeup anymore-or t least very infrequently-I really would have no need for these two products. For those that wear full makeup daily–yes I can certainly see how it would make getting that makeup off a whole lot easier.

These actually do really well in helping breakdown waterproof makeup. It’s a precleanse system so you would still followup with your regular cleanser and then your moisturizer but this will help the cleanser to pull everything off in one go, and it gets the stuff deeper down in your pores.

While it does, cleaning oils (that are done right) can actually leave your face cleaner than other cleansers. And while the name oil leads one to believe it will leave your face oily most actually do not leave behind any residue.
