Favorite Blushes

Some of my favorite blushes are ones from Benefit, Tarte, and Dior

Way back in February, I say that like it was years ago instead of just last month, I participated in a photo-a-day challenge. Well, I thought about participating in a photo-a-day challenge and I occasionally actually did participate but honestly I missed more than I did, c’est la vie. One of the prompts in that challenge was “Blush Stash” instead of doing that prompt I kinda did my own little prompt and showed instead my “FAVORITE Blushes”. Before I tell you what my favorite Blushes are, feel free to watch the YouTube video below, or if you can’t see it click here.

Favorite Blush #1

One of my favorite blushes is Benefit Dandelion from the Feelin Dandy Collection

If you’ve read my 10 Best Benefit Products post then you already know that Benefit’s Feelin Dandy is a favorite product of mine. I like the boxed set as a whole because it gives you a deluxe sample of Posie Tint, High Beam, Dandelion Lip Gloss and Dandelion Blush. However, even without the set Dandelion Blush is a great blush. It’s a soft flat peachy color that adds just a bit of color to the cheeks without out putting a lot of shimmer there with it. I use this one when I’m wanting to add just a bit of color back to my cheeks after my foundation.

Favorite Blush #2

One of my favorite blushes is Benefit's Hervana Boxed Blush

If you look closely at the blush you can see where it kind of slopes down in the middle, that’s because I use the Benefit Hervana Boxed Blush all the time. Although, thinking about it that says a lot about this blush, I use it so much yet I’m only just now getting that slope. Looking at it you might be a little confused as to how exactly you’re supposed to use it, you actually just take your brush and swirl it all around and then apply to the cheeks. I’ve done that every time I’ve used it and as you can see it hasn’t bled hardly at all. As for the color of the blush, once applied it gives a bit more of a flush to the cheeks than Dandelion does but it’s still not hugely noticeable.

Favorite Blush #3

One of my favorite blushes is Tarte's Pampered

I got my first set of Tarte blushes in a set from QVC this past Christmas from the Hubs. They have both quickly moved into my favorite blushes. Besides the pigmentation, which is out of this world, the staying power alone would make them anyone’s favorite blush. However, what really gets me is the color choices. Pampered is this gorgeous deep coral peach shade. Like the previous two blushes this one doesn’t have any shimmer in it either which I really like. Tarte Pampered just adds a nice healthy flush to the cheeks.

Favorite Blush #4

One of my favorite blushes is Tarte's Savored

Now the previous three blushes have all been flat with no shimmer. However, let’s face it sometimes you just need a little shimmer in your life. When I want just a hint of shimmer I immediately reach for Tarte Savored, it’s a dusky rose shade that has a hit of shimmer. I love this for times when I’m only wanting a small amount of shimmer or if I know that I’m going to be wearing a shimmery highlighter with with my look.

Favorite Blush #5

One of my favorite blushes is the Dior Rose Diamond Blush

I saved the best for last. Those times when I’m wanting more shimmer or a blush that just looks glamourous I reach for my Dior Rose Diamond. If you’ve been around the site for awhile then you know that I had to hunt for this blush. I first saw it when a YouTuber I follow mentioned the bronze version of this product, when I looked it up and saw the Rose Diamond verison I KNEW it had to be mine. However, by the time I found it Sephora had sold out online. Two Sephora’s later I had it in my hands after picking up the last one on the shelf. Knowing it had been discontinued I was actually tempted to offer to purchase the test model, I mean I could sanitize it right?…don’t judge me! Back to the blush itself, it adds a really nice pink flush to the cheeks and the shimmer isn’t overboard so much as it’s just super glamourous.

I never wear blush, but these are good to keep in mind for sure! I guess I don’t wear it because I don’t know a lot about putting it on!

That Dior Rose diamond looks beautiful. I like how the shades are slightly different so you can really pick which one you want to use or in the mood for.

I tend to love matte blushes lately because they are so easy to apply and tend to stay on me even when I am chasing my boys all over the place. Will definitely check out some of your suggestions.

I am pretty boring when it comes to makeup. I have been wearing Mary Kay since middle school and have always liked it. I wear the same blush every day. I did like the one above that was shimmery…might think about something like that for special nights out!

I hardly ever wear blush as I naturally have a lot of color on my cheeks but when I do wear it I like it to have some shimmer. I tend to use blush more in the summer to even out the color on my face from too much sun.

I enjoy seeing your favorite blushes and hearing how well they wear, how they make you feel (after all, it should be about each of us feeling better for wearing them!), and knowing you’re really using them. I go crazy when a favorite product is discontinued – you brought up that situation with a smile. When I think of a blush stash, I think of a drawer filled with products I tried but for one reason or another never used again. Your favorites are proven by the pictures.

Cinnamon conures are SO pretty. Ducky is actually one of three birds in our house. We also have a cockatiel and a green cheek conure who is SUPER mischievous.
