Towards the end of last year the Hubs and I went to a couple of stores and purchased a few books to add to our collection. The bulk of my addition was in beauty books to read and add to the background of my videos. However, I did add a few other books as well and the Hubs added a few as well. Here is what we got in our Book Haul.
The first set of books in the book haul are a set of random fiction books. These were picked up from different stores and for different reasons. From top to bottom we picked up; Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith, Irish Eyes by Mary Kay Andrews, Sherlock Homes Vol. 1 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Star Wars: Lost Stars by Claudia Gray, and Doctor Who: Dark Horizons by J. T. Colgan.
The next set of books in the book haul are all beauty books. A few of these I picked up from a local independent book store in Orangeburg, SC (the only one in our area) called Swift Book Store, some I picked up used from a site called Hastings, and one the Hubs got from Barnes & Noble. The beauty books that I got in the book haul from top to bottom are; 500 Beauty Solutions by Beth Barrick-Hickey, Don’t Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me the 7th Edition, Lauren Conrad Beauty by Lauren Conrad, The 5 Minute Face by Carmindy, Face Paint: The Story of Makeup by Lisa Eldridge, and Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin.
The next set of books in the book haul are all Stephen King books. Stephen King is the Hubs favorite author so when we found The Green Mile (top set of books) in it’s original format of printing we had to pick it up! The next two books, From a Buick 8 and Revival we actually picked up for $3 at a store called Ollies which is similar to a Big Lots. The last book, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams we picked up from Kroger when they broke the street release date on it!
The next set of books in the book haul are ones that I read and loved when I was younger and loved. When I found them super cheap I had to pick them up. I picked up Ransom by Lois Duncan which I have read SOOOOOOO many times when I was younger. I also picked up the last five of the six Med Center books that I didn’t have and needed to complete my series, pictured is Med Center: Flood and all are by Diane Hoh.
One of the things that the Hubs got me for Christmas was The Disney Book by Jim Fanning. This book is so amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a huge Disney fan. The version of the Disney Book that he got me came with a Brave film cell as well!
On a trip to Sam’s Club the Hubs, who ALWAYS has to stop by the book section, found a copy of Frozen Fever Hairstyles that he thought I should get. Initially I was meh about getting it but when he explained that I could use it as inspiration to hairstyles for Cosmetology class and beyond. I was all for it after that!
The last two items that we purchased in our book haul aren’t really books but they are book related items. We picked up the Harry Potter Edition of Trivial Pursuit and a “Dear Reader I Married Him” pouch which is based off of Jane Eyre. That completes our book haul!

Each of these books – Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith, Irish Eyes by Mary Kay Andrews, Sherlock Homes Vol. 1 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Star Wars: Lost Stars by Claudia Gray, and Doctor Who: Dark Horizons by J. T. Colgan – sound like something I would enjoy – and am thinking that some of these would be great for my hubby – I copied these here so that I could keep in my notes to order! Thank you – you are a natural video maker! Fun and interesting post!

I am also a great book lover. There are just so many things you can discover and learn from reading a book. It is like traveling and exploring the mind of the author. You have a great book collection.

The last book i purchased was the new illustrated edition of Harry Potter. I want to start reading the series with my 6 year old! I think it’s time to formally introduce him to the wonderful wizarding world of Harry Potter! I can’t wait until it arrives from Amazon!

I love learning what other people to love to read because it makes me so excited to check those books out. I love Stephen King, too, and I haven’t read any of those books. I will definitely be looking them up. And, I so love finding old books I loved reading as a kid and rereading them again.

Oooo – I am a huge Stephen King fan, and have a lot of his books. The Bazaar of Bad Dreams is on my personal wish list that I keep forgetting to get. The last book that I purchased was ‘The Secret Lives of Dogs,’ which shares the ‘real’ reasons behind ‘mysterious canine behaviors.’

Jane Eyre is literally my favorite book of all time! Harry potter is up there too but the pouch of Jane Eyre is something I wouldn’t even think about and picked it right up! I love it! I am a huge bookaholic and I am always reading something. It can be a curse sometimes.

Great haul. I love books. I usually buy ebooks these days, so I have my library with me wherever I go. I just bought a book called A Beginner’s Guide to Short Videos yesterday. I haven’t started it yet though.
