One brand of cosmetics that has a great quality and is easy on the pocketbook is e.l.f. e.l.f (Eyes, Lips, Face) Cosmetics is brand that is known for being super affordable (prices start at $1) yet still having good quality. At first you could only find e.l.f products on their site but now you can even find them in your local Target! Here are my 10 Favorite elf Cosmetics Products:
e.l.f. Studio Daily Brush Cleaner || $3.00 – One of the things I was bad about when it came to my brushes was cleaning them. Until two things happened; first, I found out that not cleaning your brushes in between uses can cause a spread of bacteria and second, I found this product. I use e.l.f.’s daily brush cleaner on my brushes after every makeup application. Essentially I use this in between weekly deep cleans to keep my routine more hygienic.
e.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Duo in St. Lucia || $3.00 – This is supposedly supposed to be a dupe for the NARS Blush and Bronzer duo, however, I’ve never tried the NARS version (shocker I know) so I can’t compare them. I can, however, tell you that the e.l.f. version is outstanding. It’s one of favorite blush AND bronzers and I don’t usually like bronzers.
e.l.f. Studio HD Setting Powder in Translucent || $6.00 – I’ve seen other blogger raving about this product so I had to give it a try and I LOVE it. It is my go to setting powder for ALL of my foundations, including my high end ones. The only time I do not use this setting powder is if I’m using a foundation that is to light for me so I’ll use a powder foundation to set that. However, for this setting powder I use it for setting under my eyes and my full face, I just use different brushes for the different areas. e.l.f. does make a setting powder specifically for the eyes but I haven’t tried that yet.
e.l.f. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain || $6.00 – I picked this foundation up on a lark one day while at Target. Someone had actually grabbed it and then left it next to the register when they chose not to get it. While waiting on the cashier to ring up my items I saw it and after seeing that it was a match to my shade threw it on the conveyor belt. Once I got it home I was glad that I saw it because it is a great foundation. When I’m wanting a lighter coverage foundation this is the one I reach for.
e.l.f. Studio Fan Brush || $3.00 – I love fan brushes for applying highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. I find that e.l.f.’s studio fan brush is one of the better ones on the market. This brush doesn’t shed, picks up just the right amount of product, and is good about spreading the product across the full area.
e.l.f. Essentials Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Gel in Clear || $1.00 – I received this product in a swap and was sooo glad that I did. e.l.f’s clear lash and brow gel is just as good as some of the higher end brands that I have tried and for a significant fraction of the cost. I used the brow end to of course set my brows and I used the lash end for melding my regular lashes with my falsies.
e.l.f. Studio Brush Shampoo || $3.00 – Originally I was using baby shampoo to clean my brushes but after trying e.l.f.’s daily cleaner and then seeing this I knew I had to try this shampoo. While I still love the baby shampoo I find that e.l.f.’s shampoo actually gets the brushes cleaner and it does the job faster.
e.l.f. Small Brush Holder || $5.00 – The small brush holder is great for holding your makeup brushes of all shapes and sizes. What I love about the small brush holder is that it’s good for those who have small brush collections and it’s also good for those who have larger collections as you can purchase multiples ones to put around your vanity.
e.l.f. Studio Lip Gloss Wands pack of 12 || $3.00 – I’ve always used my lipsticks straight out of the tube and never have I ever really had any use for lip brushes or wands. UNTIL I went to MAC a few weeks ago to try on some lipsticks and the makeup artist used some wands exactly like this. Since then this is the only way I like to apply my lipstick, however, I couldn’t find them anywhere until I looked at e.l.f.’s site. I am now in love with these.
Beauty Bundle Subscription Plan || $19.99 – The e.l.f. beauty bundle subscription plan is an every-other-month subscription and it costs $19.99 and you’re guaranteed $40 worth of e.l.f. products. These products can range from their makeup products, nail polishes, or even their tools and applicators. This is a great service for those who love e.l.f. products, like me!

I’ve actually never tried this brand before. I have heard great things, but I mostly use Urban Decay when I do wear makeup!
Cassie says
I love me some Urban Decay, don’t get me wrong 🙂
Jessica says
I love ELF products! They are affordable the quality is actually pretty high for a non high end brand. My favorite product is their primer. It makes me makeup look flawless!
Cassie says
I’ve actually never tried their primer. I’m going to have to get some to try out 🙂
Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
I think you sold me on the blush/bronzer combo for sure. I’ve been wanting to try a bronzer for the longest anyhow so I’ll start here.
Cassie says
It really is a great starting point, that way it’s cheaper to get your practice in 🙂
Debra says
I’m always looking at trying new cosmetic brushes. I haven’t found anything I’m in love with as of yet. I also like the brow gel – my hair is so wiry.
Jamie Rippy (@MamaMommyMom) says
I definitely need to try the brush cleaner. I am SO bad about my brushes. I swear I think I’ve only cleaned them once or twice since I got them 4 years ago.
Cassie says
I use to be bad about cleaning them to. My philosophy use to be use them until they started to fall apart and then trash them. But once you start sinking some big bucks into those brushes you get more and more hesitant to toss them out lol
Deanna Ritz says
I love the blush and bronze duo! I’ve used this before and loved it. 🙂
Cassie says
I love that they have different shades available for different skin tones 🙂
Kita says
I think I want something to help with my lips I am not a makeup fan but my lips I love them to be moisturized and popping lol
Jennifer says
After hearing so many good things about ELF products I’m ashamed to say I still haven’t tried one. I do need a new brush cleaner though so maybe now is the time I buy some ELF!
Amy Lynn Desrosiers says
I recently purchased every makeup brush e.l.f. makes, and love them!! I also bought some primer, but have not tried it out yet. I find their shadows to contain quite a bit of pigment too!
Jaime says
I’ve never tried elf products, but I’m definitely interested in new brushes. I currently have an obsession with Bare Minerals lipsticks. And Sephora’s brand of nail polish (though their nail polish remover RUINED my nails.)
Cassie says
I hate when nail polish removers do that to your nails! I find that Zoya and OPI make the BEST nail polish removers. As for lipstick and nail polish I’m loving MAC’s lipsticks and OPI’s finger nail polish. If you’re loving Bare Minerals lipsticks you should give Tarte a try.
Ange says
I LOVE their brush cleanser!
Carly says
I want to try that brush cleaner!
Kecia says
I’ve never considered a wand for applying lipstick – but I might now! I like that these products are all affordable in price.
Karly says
I might have to to check out this brand! I’ve been an MK user for years now, but I’ve been learning about contouring and all sorts of beauty tricks via Pinterest and I really really REALLY want to try some stuff out! Of course, never having been a makeup maven, I lack pretty much EVERYTHING needed. I have all of two brushes and a tiny eyeshadow sponge applicator, all of which are about 10 years old. It almost overwhelms me to think about how I start on a new makeup journey, because I have no idea!
Laura MyNewestaddiction says
That box sounds sort of FANTASTIC! I kinda want it now! 😛
Paige says
I love the finishing powder! it’s amazing.
Jennifer @TheRebelChick says
We have a ton of E.L.F. products in the house, between my teenage daughter and I! I love that they’re so inexpensive, so we can try new stuff without breaking the bank!

Lolo says
I tried these before. Kind of reminded me of Wet and WIld makeup.
Ashley M says
The ELF brushes are my favorite. They are so affordable.
Chelsea says
I remember back like 7 years or something when elf didn’t have that studio branch off yet and EVERYTHING was $1, I made a like $25 order and had hoards of makeup for ages. I loved it! I’m skeptical these days because they have sooo many products that I never know what is actually going to be good or not. I definitely want to pick up that contouring duo and the brush cleanser now though!
Stefani says
I currently use the Elf face powder. I love that I can buy it at Target. My daughters use some of the other products. We are Elf fans!
Leslie says
I love ELF products too. I bought a bunch {{like an entire bags worth}} from their site a couple weeks ago. I can’t wait to review all my goodies. It was like Christmas all over again. I found your post on Pinterest, where I am a new follower!
Cassie says
Thanks so much for stopping by and the follow 🙂 I love how with e.l.f.’s prices you can get a bunch of stuff every so often without breaking the bank 😀
